We stretched it. That made it like 5 million over 3 years Instead of 17 million in one year.

We are still paying tim mazgov

We don't need another center...

Favors to Utah

He looked really bad last year. I've never seen so many missed layups. Hope he plays better with more time, because we need production.

He was our own free agent, so can't we just sign him.

DJ was being paid 5mil. I can see 2yrs 10mil for mcw. 5 a yr

7 hours ago, TrueMagicFanSince1987 said:It SHOULD mean that but with this FO anything is possible. If we do resign him it better be for the vet min and to be a locker room presence. Should never sniff the floor unless we have injuries.
If we sign mcw, he can be the third PG and play other positions.

1 hour ago, Mauro Pedrosa said:My prediction is that we will keep most of the same roster. And if we do — I don't care how this sounds — I hope we miss the playoffs so we finally give up on this madness.
Our problem is play making and health. If our health was better, I think we could have went to the second round. Isaac, mcw, and Gordon out was tough.
This year, I want more uptempo and fultz and cole with the ball. I want more Gordon and less Fournier.

18 minutes ago, jmmagicfan said:I think (and hope) AG will be playing a lot more at his natural PF position, so I hope I don't see your starting line-up. I think a lot will depend on whether Okeke is truly a SF or a PF. Part of the reason I was a bit disappointed when Ennis opted out. I was thinking that if he opted in, we probably would only keep one of Iwundu/Clark; so now that seems more up in the air. I think the odds on retaining Iwundu went up, and I could actually see him starting at the SF. I also think Clark might stick if Ennis isn't re-signed.
Starting lineup - Fultz/Fournier/Iwundu/Gordon/Vucevic
Primary backups - Anthony/Ross/Okeke/Aminu/Bamba or possibly Anthony/MCW/Ross/Okeke/Bamba
I think your close out the game lineup is probably correct, barring major FA signing or trade.
That leaves your end of bench guys being Clark, Birch, Isaac(i), and possibly leaving a roster space open, in case of injury. If neither Okeke or Clark can play the SF, I think you will see us play more "three guard" lineups with Fournier and/or Ross sliding over to SF a lot again. Depth chart would probably look like this:
Fultz/Anthony/MCW
Fournier/Ross/(MCW)
Iwundu/Okeke/Isaac(i)
Gordon/Aminu/Clark
Vucevic/Bamba/Birch
I am looking to see if okeke starts sooner than later. Aminu looked bad last year. Okeke was also around the team a lot, so I'm thinking his learning curve should be a little shorter.

I've also read that during this past season, he had some injury problems. Together with UNC team around him being not very good, these are the main reasons pointed out to justify his drop in the draft predictions along the past months. Does anybody knows if he is fully recovered now and ready for trainning camp?
He is healthy now. He should also be stronger this year.

34 minutes ago, JayMac said:Sorry but I disagree. We have 5 players ending their contract: MCW, DJ, Iwundu, Clark and Ennis. Of these, let's assume we re-sign 3 of them (Iwundu, MCW/DJ, Clark), we have place for 2 more... Looks like enough space for me.
IMO, either Isaiah Joe or Grant Riller could easily take one of those spots. Not to say that I see them as more talented and interesting than any of those undrafted you mentioned.
That is what the gm said he traded the pick for roster flexibility. I don't think he wants more than 2 rookies.

58 minutes ago, Luke_FfS said:There's no Vuch hate, only trying to putting things in the right perspective (that is surely not the Gasol/Jokic/AD hemisphere) because it's years that we heard about that great trade value that he supposely has, but in the end we're always here waiting for a great package that never shows. That (understandable) tendency of overvuling our team players.
And yes, yesterday I was absolutely serious. You could be right that Vuc has been our most consistent player after D12 (he has also been the only one always there) and that's just tell how poor is the recent history of our franchise, unfortunately. He has been our first all star, in all those years, even if he has been our offensive focus most of the time... we're talking about All-Star, not first team NBA...
He has made a great playoff against Milwaukee, yes it's true, but that was more because the Bucks strategy was to let him going, while stooping everyone else. Previous year, Toronto strategy was stopping him, and he had one of the most woeful playoff appeareance that I rememeber. Again, just trying to put things in the right perspective, not hating.
2 years ago was also his first playoff. It is not easy to make the an allstar. Vuch is also a great rebounder. I stand by the poor Paul gasel comp.

1 hour ago, jmmagicfan said:So if I'm the front office, first thing in the morning, I'm on the phone to try and sign the following guys to training camp:
Devon Dotson, PG, 6'2"
Markus Howard, PG, 6'0"
Ashton Hagans, PG, 6'3"
Mason Jones, SG, 6'5"
They said no more roster spots for rookies. I think we feel the roster with vets like mcw, DJ, and Jameer Nelson

Fournier to warriors for TE
We get wolves pick.

We still have a pg to add to the roster

We should bring back Jameer Nelson to mentor the PGs.

The one I found interesting was RoCo with ball skills.
Bleacher report said Robert Covington. I think he is more sf/pf vs sg/sf.

If Fournier is traded, cole will have a chance. If not mins will be the problem for cole.
