  1. I like to see the development of player too. I remember when nelson came with the guy that wore 12. The first time we hit the playoffs and upset teams. The great thing is that rob is going to try to keep us good. Building the right way by not over paying and saying young. He will trade player and not lose them for nothing. Keeping our assets up is the way to go.
  2. I will say he helps those around him by stretching the court with shooting range and having 2 players run to him because of his shooting threat. Add in the passing and he is an impact player (to a degree; not allstar level). Saying that, I still would not give him 7-9 mil with aa on the roster for 7 per the next 4 year. He is not worth more than aa.
  3. Victor is a better option for sg vs smart. If two guard is the focus.
  4. You need the foundation before for the walls and complementary pieces. Let us first get the player we are going to build upon before giving jj 7-9 mil. Especially, when we have AA for 4 years.
  5. The teams in the hunt with us dont need pgs or combo two guards because they them already. If a team wants a defensive two, they will most likely go with victor. Cleveland has: Kyrie Irving Dion Waiters They need scoring and shooting Ben Mclemore most likely Charlott has: Kemba Walker Henderson (restricted free agent) Sessions Gordon They need big men Noels/Benett/Zeller/Len Or a true scoring sg like McLemore or Muhammad The only problem with them is they have 2 picks adding the blazers pick they got from the wallace trade So more than likely big, then small. I dont see them going pg with walker Washington has: Wall Beal They need a scorer and bench power I dont see smart for them Phoenix has: Goran Dragic for 4 years (just signed) The suns need everything but pg The suns could play smart at 2, but why when there is victor
  6. I want to see what type of player harris is on the court.
  7. Here is a nice article comparing Smart: Marcus Smart compares to Dwyane Wade, James Harden, Tyreke Evans Using the incredibly awesome Play Index over at College Basketball Reference, I ran a report to find out how many freshmen have achieved this stat line or better since 1999, the earliest season available in the Play Index: 14 points/game (Smart averages 15.0) 5 rebounds/game (Smart averages 5.8) 3 assists/game (Smart averages 4.5) 2 steals/game (Smart averages 2.9) You have to achieve all of those things in your freshman year to be on this list. Guess how many guys have done that in the last 15 seasons of college basketball? Five. You may have heard of these guys: Dwyane Wade, James Harden, Tyreke Evans, and Caron Butler Read Article Here

  14. In the other post, I was responding to the comment about MCW. I know smart handles the pressure fine. though, I was not meaning crunch time. I was referring to ball pressure, ball hawking, or hard press defense. I keeping hearing that MCW has a very loose handle and gets a lot of turnovers verse hard press. I dont have a problem with smart vs hard press. I do have a problem with smart and a weak off hand (left). He needs more work on it; finishing at the basket and dribbling for longer stints. Players in the nba, lock your strong hand, when playing tight defense, so your bad hand is exposed.
  15. I read that he (MCW) does not handle ball pressure well. Do notice that while watching him?
  16. In the draft with westbrook. The rob and the thunder took him a lot earlier than projected. If he targets smart, I think he does not play around and drafts him.

    The Official Trade Thread

lol... this was a funny post
  18. he would have been good next to smart.
  19. for a player to go 2/14 from the field vs kansas, he was the best player on the court. He got hurt a few times and still keep coming. Before the shoulder issue, he was killing on defense. He had like 3 forced steals in the first half. I also liked the fact that he draw fouls and attacked the rim. However, I did not like has lack of a left hand, poor shooting %, and his defense on quick guards. I did not realize how ball dominated he is with his right hand. Overall, I as an impacted player. I did not see that in McLemore. McLemore was just standing and waiting for the ball and did not do much on either end of the floor. Smart was very involved, even when not scoring.
