Basketball IQ is different than just pure intelligence. To me he is not a dumb person. He just does not have the best basketball IQ. Just because you speak well and are good at math does not mean you are good at science. You can still have strengths and weaknesses. Mo has a beautiful personality, speaks well, and carries himself great. I really do hope things turn around. I do understand reaction time as well, but it does not take much to sprint down the court. That is not reaction time, that to me is more desire and hard work. I guess it is just me. I dont really see him playing with a fire at all- even in moments when he does not have to think. Has did it one game and he played well. It was, to me, the only good game he has had this year. One reason it seemed that Mo has bad reaction time is because of his defensive posture. Being out of position and game understand is another reason too, but If you play with your hands down and not up, it slows your ability to react or get steals and blocks. You can not do that in this league. Players are too good, quick and fast. People said my thoughts were meaningless and hyperbolic, but there is a reason they say hand down man down in the league. You need to challenge shots and have active hands to stop people - especially with Mo's height and length. If he does not use his length, what good is it? To me it is an easy fix. Watch Vuch play. When he started to keeping his hands up on defense he got better. Sometimes, with technique, you can also improve.

Example I never complained about mario hezonja cause he gave effort. He made dumb plays and was the 5th pick in the draft.But I never thought he did not want it. He just did not have it. There was a difference. With mo, it is the first time that it I really have an issue with play. It does bother me and agian, I will remember this topic and the plus player comments and the support for mo. How wrong my comments are and far fetched and off i am. personally, I never called him dumb. I know he is smart. That why I think it is lack of effort and lazy. My kid not studying can be called lazy. Not put time in your craft. Could be called lazy. Additionally, giving up layup, allowing teams to get offensive put backs, giving up turnovers that result in fast breaks, and reaching fouls can lose you games. Ask the coach how important fouls are to him. They do upset me. I do think his play can lose us games in the future.

We can be patience in a lot of ways. PT is also earned. The funny thing is - he played better last year. It has hard to believe he regressed. He took a whole 4 months to take notes and to follow the games and learn with the coaches. How are you worst than last year? How do you not know plays and rotations? This is your second season. At the very least run, jump, and give me some energy. You only got 13 mins. Give me something. Give me Anything!!! Does he need to lose us games before people understand the game can be the difference of a few plays. It does not take much to lose a game. His 13mins are important. Being dumb is not really something I am trying to hear. He is nearly getting the 8 fouls you are talking about on reaching fouls on guards (I am somewhat exaggerating). When you are faster than john wall and westbook, it is not much to ask to beat your man down the court. He playing 13 mins a game. It does not take much thought to turn and find your man to box out, then find the ball. I am not in the NBA and I know that much. It does not take much thought to seek the ball and not watch the ball go out of bounds. He literally did that recently. He watched the ball roll 10 feet and made no effort to get the ball and it became the other teams ball. Having high hands and challenging shots does not mean you need to foul, but it is better than the reaching fouls he gets now. I can live with him challenging shots and get pumped faked sometimes. Why are you 7'1" with a 7' 10" wingspan with your hands by your sides or trying to cover a man eyes with your hand. Are you going to block something with your head? It is not fair to the rest of the team or the fans to have a player out there that is that garbage. When he plays that bad, save him from his self. JJ got pulled for playing bad. He turned out ok.

I agree. We have invested too high of a pick to drop Mo for nothing, but he does not deserve to play the way he is playing. Play Khem Birch. Mo is priming his self for the g league. I remember JJ needing to earn his mins. When he sucked. He was yanked out. JJ did not like it at first, but he said it was the best thing that ever happen to him in the league and he credits SVG for the lesson. He loves stan for showing him the way. Mo needs to earn his time and needs to be yanked. He misses play calls and rotation. He has no energy, so he does not run the floor or beat his man to spots. He gets dumb fouls. He does not play with active hands. He does not play with high hands. He does not box out. He does not try for loose balls. He does not rebound out of space. He is barely blocking shots with his wing span. (his calling card in college.) The only thing he has surprised me with is his shooting and he has even sucked at that in the last few games. Mo needs a defined roll. If I was coaching mo. I would tell him. I need you to give me all of your effort on defense. I need you beating your man down the floor on every play - rim runs and paint touches. I need you rotating with high hands and challenging every shot. I need you to get every rebound you can. I dont care about much else. Rebounds, blocks, defections, altered shots, beating your man to the paint on offense and defense. If I dont see these things, I am yanking you. He would have a clear understanding as of why you are pulled and we will try again next game. I would track these things and go from there. (I can except hustle fouls, but not reaching dumb fouls.) I dont want too much from mo. I know he is young and has a learning curve, but Fultz is young too. Fultz is not having an issue with hustle. He has had good games and bad games, but he hustle and plays defense, so I can live with the mistakes. Like in the wizards game, when we are down 2 point guards and you are the only PG left. Coach says do not foul and he fouls in 20 secs. What in the hell are you doing, but I can live with the rookie mistake because he paid us back with hustle and effort. Mo owes us a doubt for his mistakes and he has yet to repay it with hustle and energy. The coach can pay us with someone willing to pay mo debit. Where is Khem Birch.

they play two different positions. Khem Birch has always been a center. He plays bigger than his size and is a good shot blocker, pick and roll player, and can shot floaters and mid range shots. His energy, hustle and intangibles were key to us win games last year. If Moe played like khem, he would be an allstar because of his physical tools. The issue is their motors are night and day. Moe plays privileged and acts, on the court, like he does not need to earn anything. khem plays like it is his last game. Hustle and energy is why we resigned khem. Aminu has never been a center. He is a sf/pf tweener. I would say apples and oranges. Birch should get all of Bamba mins until he decides he want to play ball.

Game 46: Wizards: Pure Magic (Pros): in only 25mins, Fultz had a 19 pt career high today. He hit 80% of his shots - including 2 out for 3 from 3pt range. He had two big dunks and one of them clinched the game. You can see him getting better and better with each game. He took his open shots today and made them. I would like to see this continue. Great work today. The dunk at the end of the game was only the beginning of his revenge. I really just want to see Fultz rampage on this league. It would be a great thing to watch. Disenchantment (Cons): I would still consider this as Fultz's second best game. The last game to me was better and against a better team. He was more aggressive verses the spurs. There was no way in the world Isiah Thomas could have guarded Fultz. If he would have played like he did verses the spurs, he may have had 30 pts. It was the wizards and their poorest defense. Fultz had 4 turnovers and we really did not go to him in the 4th. I do think he is too passive in the 4th quarters. His passiveness could be because of the coaches play calling, coach asking him to milk the clock, or vet players asking for the ball at the end of the game. Either way, he does not get in the paint as much in the 4th. He does not continue to push the ball and try to touch the paint for early offense with his driving. There is a noticeable difference for me in the 4th, when he subs in with about 5mins left in the game. Dont get me wrong, Fultz had a great game, the play of the game in the 4th was electric, and we won 3 in a row. I will take that every day. When he is in the game, I just want to see him continue to attack and for us to continue to call his number.

I think fultz can make other players better - including Evan. Evan would be great with players trying to closing out on him after a pass off of a fultz's pick and roll. Fultz does not get the mins for us to fucus on that game style. When we can give fultz more mins, I think things will change.

I agree. I have been pushing for this from the coach. Fultz makes everyone on the team better with his passing and play making. When he is in we need to do mostly pick and roll with him. It makes him an offensive threat and it is better than him sitting in a corner unguarded. Coach has the plays, he coached kemba walker to be an allstar. I am waiting for him to unleash fultz, but this is up to the coach and the doctors/upper management. He is on a minute restriction. The last game (spurs) was a glimpse of what fultz can do. Fultz can be a problem for opposing defenses. The team's scheme is the only thing stopping him from be so....

I dont want another victor situation. It better be for a star and a star only. On a long term contract. the crazy thing is, I actual like our team. I think players need to step up, but I think they will.

Mo is not even a good role player yet. Who is to say the Okeke is better until we see him. I just need to see him play against NBA players first. Right now, he is no one until he is somebody.

I think it is the system and a coach that believes in him. This is the second time MCW has played for cliff, so they understand each other and mcw understands what cliff wants in his system. I dont think having offense player round MCW will change his style and impact. I think he is what he is. I think mcw with offensive players / shooters would be great, if he played PG more mins.
