I'm hoping that we will have a LOT of new faces to start next season. I'm really looking forward to see whAt kind of winning culture we can build with defense at ALL positions and no more layup drills.

We did. Suns fans lost interest in him really quick when they realized he doesn't shoot 3s and doesn't play D. We were lucky to find a taker for a 2nd, we could have got nothing.

We are absolute idiots if we win any of our remaining meaningless games, but I'm sure we'll win several against teams that want a better pick. Thankfully this draft is deep enough that we will get a good player regardless of where we pick, we just won't have a shot at the big name guys that we'll be watching the tankers pick.

The smart move for Porter would to be stay in college another year and fully recover. He would have a shot at being the #1 pick if he lives up to the hype.

My thinking too! I can't relate to why the "experts" have him so high up in the draft when he didn't even play much college ball. All we have to go on is what he did in HS against kids?

Yeah I'd take him in the 2nd with a good pick already under our belt but definitely not in the top 5 where he is predicted to go. We have to come away with at least 1 NBA ready player in this draft. We don't need to be drafting someone that can't shoot or is a probable injury risk EVER again.

There are a lot of players I would be happy to come away with in this draft so I'm confident that we WILL improve our team! Point guards - Doncic, Young, Sexton, SAG, Shake Milton, Brunson, and Carter Bigs - Ayton, JJJ, Bagley, Carter, Bamba, Bridges, and Gafford Any 3 of these will be great for us. I do NOT want Porter unless he drops to the 2nd round. Too much risk with the back surgery and I don't think he is any better than the healthy guys. I hope management does not take a PF unless they intend to move him to center or they move AG or Isaac. With all the good players available we should take the BPA for positions we need to fill.

I ran it in the trade checker and it worked but I didn't look at the length of contracts. I'd pass hard too with 3 years left.

I would trade Vuc and Mack for Batum and their pick. On 2nd thought after finding out Batum has 3 years left I would pass hard on any trade for him.

They are too late in the game to seriously get anywhere by tanking. I think they are just trying to protect a top 7 pick. They have to play us and Brooklyn twice yet.

It very well could, they are tanking very well. Why do you think they grabbed Payton?

We still have Brooklyn, Atlanta, Dallas, and NYK to go. If we win 2 more out of that we should finish no better than 5th which would be great. If we win all of those we probably finish tied for 6th. If we win all of those and the Knicks don't win any games we will finish 8th. Still many meaningless games ahead!

Both AG & DJ almost hit triple doubles. After tonight we will be tied with Dallas for 4th worst. Fortunately there are a lot of games between the tanking teams so the best we will finish is tied for 6th unless NY loses every game, then we could finish as high as 8th. We should be able to draft whoever the leftover is in the top 7!

That sounds really minor but if it is, why did it take the whole season to be 60%? Did the literature you read say anything about further complications that can be caused by scar tissue, calcium deposits, or the problems that can be created by compensating for the pain in a certain area? I personally don't think he is that great to take that risk when there are similar players who haven't had back surgeries available in our pick range.

Maybe we could trade Vuc to the Suns and he and EP can help them unintentionally tank together.

http://www.nbadraft.net/players/luka-doncic NBA draftnet has Doncic falling to us at #4. This kid can score and is a great passer. Are his handles good enough to play PG? At 6'8 he'd be shooting over every PG in the league.

Because he started EP the whole time he was here and continues to start Vuc and his lack of defense I have to think that either Vogel doesn't have a clue and just got lucky in Indiana, or the FO was insisting on starting them to discreetly tank. I also don't like his switching out the whole lineup at 1 time regardless of if someone had the hot hand.

We don't really have many (real) players for them to listen to. It is totally on the coach to create and play rotations that will create the best winning chances. IMO Vogel sticking with EP at PG and Vuc at center for way too long says that either he doesn't have a clue or it was orders from the FO to [play them so we could discreetly tank.
