If you converted our unforced turnovers into at least shot attempts we win this game. Miami plays great defense but the unforced turnovers was the difference makes IMO. We ARE contenders if we will let ourselves be! I hope SVG has been working Ish hard to get him ready for the playoffs. Teams will not have a game-plan for him.

Sorta related, kinda unrelated? Who knows? My wife and I own a nationwide wedding DJ and photography business. According to several of our DJs in the NY/NJ area ALL of the wedding venues are owned by the family (and I don't mean mom and pop) and in order to get referrals from them you have to pay. In some places thay will not let a bride use a DJ that is not on their "list" of preferred DJs. There is payola going on in every part of the wedding industry in that area. Back to basketball related I wonder with a new "family" in town if there are lots of side deals and payola going on to make everything go the way the Nyets owner wants it to. It sure was a lot easier to get a new stadium approved in Brooklyn than it was in Orlando. There were people that fought it at first then they just kinda went away... almost like they got paid off or something. So who knows if we will ever find out if Dwight and/or his agent were offered some kind of "side deals" on the hush hush? I mean really... why else would Dwight who doesn't like cold weather consider going to a cold weather city? To be a champion? To play with 1 superstar? Or was it maybe the Nyets owner was going to but Dwight his own sneaker company... or part ownership of Russia? LOL

Once any team gets to the playoffs it comes down to who wants it more and who's hot. If the MAGIC play their best game I don't think anybody can beat us in a best of 7. If our shooters are off we have to go to the hole, if we don't then it all falls on Dwight and is great as he is he can't do the whole load. If Dwight and at least 2 of nour other starters are on their A game we have a chance. If 3 plus Dwight are on we should win. If everybody is on I have no doubt. This year's X-factors Hedo, Clark and Liggins

YaBoyR did us all great while keeping us informed about what was going on well ahead of any official breaking stories. Those of you that doubted him obviously didn't read enough of these forums to see that he has always been right on! Now that things will die down for a bit and everybody won't be pumping you every 5 minutes for more I just wanted to thank you on behalf of all us for the great info!

IMO what this team just went through has made them mentally tougher and more united than any team in the league. We have the rest of the season to play with rotations and I think we are going to see a lot more Liggins, Clark, some Ish, and some Harper so we can see what these guys are made of. We do need to start JJ IMO because we are more efective with him on the floor. Maybe start him and Q so Hedo can be on the floor with Duhon. Duhon/JRich/Hedo/Clark/Dwight or Baby is not a bad 2nd squad We need to somehow cut Duhon's minutes but I have to admit he HAS been playing better and hitting some 3s. Isn't there an awesome D-Leager PG we can bring in?

Now there's a combo for you... Rashard Lewis and Gerald Wallace or Rasheed Wallace or all 3 rolled into 1= ICE-O-slasher-tech

Just wanted to point out to everyone the YBR called Dwight staying with complete confidence way before the interview last night! Aside from that today will go down in MAGIC history as the day we did something right, Alex saved us from having Otis trade DWIGHT too early, and we move onward toward our championships!

^5 TO ALEX! It's great to have an intelligent business man in the driver's seat! Besides that, he's a really nice guy that seems to actually care about the team AND the city of Orlando and it's fans!

Providing that everything goes as planned in the next hour... one very good thing that is going to come out of this is that all the focus that has been put on trading/keeping Dwight can be refocused on we've been to hell and back, let's go get a championship. The way our guys have been playing and if a few other guys (Liggins for 1) are given the opportunity to step up... wooohooo!

YaBoy, as much as we all appreciate all the inside info you have given us I'm guessing that the MAGIC FO are as tired of DWIGHT's flip flops as we fans are. The time for talking is over, Dwight has to either sign or go home and pack. His agent has way too much control over his thinking and it's going to have him watching the playoffs on TV or being stuck in traffic daily in LA if he doesn't pull his head out of his butt! The best thing for Dwight to do is sign, fire HWNSNBU, and hire his parents to be his manager. At least then he'll have someone that cares about him and not just the $$ I think Alex is too smart to risk letting Dwight walk in the summer without getting anything back.

I sorta posted this before Dwight said he would stay: Bynum has a team option for next year Dwight for Bynum and Barnes (his D in the playoffs would really help) Other than Dwight no C can come close to guarding him. He has better O than Dwight, he's bigger, makes more FTs, and can block shots almost as good. Give him a crash course on or inside out game and plug him into our team. If it doesn't work or he gets injured we exercise our TO in the summer. If it does work we get 2 consecutive runs at the chip before we have to decide to resign him. We may be very surprised how well he plays without Kobe and Gasol.

If Dwight doesn't commit to 2012-2013 TODAY we trade him TODAY for Bynum straight up if need be. Give Bynum a crash course on our inside out offense and continue our quest for the championship with the rest of the team intact or whatever upgrades we can make without taking on worn out vets. I believe we also still have the vet's min. and a TPE? In spite of his injury history Bynum is by far the 2nd best center in the league and nobody can defend him except Dwight. He may excel even more without Kobe and Gasol. His contract is a team option for 2012-2013 so if he doesn't work out or gets injured we let him walk... if he does work out we make another run next year with our team intact except a different center. Bynum is a beast and we should not discount the possibility that we will be almost as good (maybe better with made free throws at crunch time). I haven't heard of any teams changing the flow of the game with a hack a Bynum game plan! TODAY is the day... make Dwight commit or trade him for Bynum! We will be in much better shape than if we just let Dwight walk in July. We could also SnT Bynum in the summer as another option!

Joleh, IMO once D12 realizes it's Nets and fishing in June or Lakers and playoffs he'll extend. Plus I lived in LA from 76-93 and got to enjoy the SHOWTIME years. LA will always be my 2nd favorite so I really want Dwight to go there and play with Kobe. I don't think there will ever be another team like the Magic-Kareem-Worthy Lakers, Bird-McHale-Parrish Celtics, and MJ-Pippen Bulls teams from that period. There weren't any Prima Donnas controlling management back then.

I want Dwight to retire with us.... but Alex needs to man up and tell Dwight that unless he commits right now to extending the only smart business move is to trade him to the Lakers. If Dwight won't commit you trade him for Bynum, give him a quick course on our inside out game, and continue on our quest for the championship this year. Even though Bynum is an injury risk he's still the 2nd best center, he's huge, has an offensive game, and can protect the middle. Bynum expires soon enough that if he doesn't work out we let HIM walk, and at that time we'll have cap space for a great FA market. The Lakers will have to match salaries and we can have some leverage because we can threaten to trade him elsewhere. A 3 team deal with somebody giving us some good players and we dump Duhon and get a better back-up PG. Matt Barnes's D would look good in the playoffs and he expires soon as well. If Dwight ends up in LA he will probably stay so NJ gets stuck with 137 container loads of Dwight NJ Nets shirts... Dwight wins, LA Wins, We win, NJ loses big time! If we let Dwight stay until the end of the season he gets to walk into a very good situation and we get nothing. Dwight wins, Nets win, Nets sell their 137 containers of Dwight shirts, and we get the shaft! I don't buy the "I wanna stay story" unless he publicly rescinded his trade request and I missed that on TV. He continuously told the media all season that nothing has changed and now he's saying he's been telling the Magic he wants to stay for the last 3 weeks? I smell BS!
