Why Lost : Piston is not good but Magic is worser
gentile replied to serdar's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
-Practice. Free throw disparity was a killer. The Pistons just played with you guys after Howards performance at the line. -Passing. Turnovers, turnovers, turnovers. Howard had six and the Magic made horrible entry passes to him. -Poise. Down the stretch in tight games, the Pistons have so much experience and chemistry. They strive in late game moments. Magic have to develop this kind of confidence to win a seven game series. -
The Captain gets around.

Ben Wallace for Grant Hill looked like you guys got us. T-Mac led Magic up 3-0, looked like you guys got us. Best team in the east vs. young Magic team. Looks like we got you guys. I'm worried about a reversal of fortune here.

The Rutger's coach said that it wasn't about Imus. It's about what we've become as a society that doesn't check itself. I agree. We're too busy grabbing goodies to take a look.

Imus comments were way more sexist than racist. You're not going to get away with calling educated black women hoes. The racial outrage predictably got the attention, but watch what drives the conversation. This issue was being ignored until Vivian Stringer opened that topic at the press conference this morning. Feminist hate the disparaging comments or attitudes toward women that seem to keep spreading in through this society's entertainment.

This is similar to Maury, except everybody is saying they ARE the father in the pre-stage interview.

I don't think Brian Hill's specialty is developing point guards. But if it was, Jameer Nelson would be the one. Very few points can enter the NBA and not go through years of growing pains and hiccups, especially with an expansion coach like Hill.

When he played (jk) in Detroit, we all thought Darko would revolutionize the post, but considered himself a shooter and was stubborn about it. But that ambidextrous hook shot he has is fools' gold to any NBA coach. They wanted him on the blocks. It fooled me too. I thought he could develop into a more angular version of Olajuwon if he could only demand the ball down low. But he drifts.

This is an inspiring thread. I want to steal the idea for the Piston forums. We got no new blood over there. Go Magic!!! -
Everyone, When Trevor Ariza Dunks On A B*T*H, We Are 3-0

Ariza's a dog. What was Isiah Thomas thinking? -
Unless the Pistons lose two starters to injury, they'll cruise through the first round. The Magic-Piston history has been one-sided though. G-Hill sign and trade for Ben Wallace. The '03 playoffs where Tayshaun Prince made the first starts of his career confounding McGrady and they came back from being down 1-3. Maybe the pendulum could swing if the Magic wound up with the 8 spot. But I don't think so.

Another Carlos discussion....what you want me to talk about Darko?
gentile replied to serviviente's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
Wow. I'm a Piston fan and I remember us doing the same thing with Carlos (Darko, too). Carlos is one of those rare, inscrutable players that nobody can figure out. We used to have some real battles on Pistons.com, and mostly, I supported Carlos because he's aggressive - I thought he gave our second unit a new look. But looking back on it, I realized something, Carlos was kind of selfish. He never wanted to make the pass that might lead to an assist. He always wanted to get the assist or score, and that makes him a selfish player. He just wouldn't run the offense, but we thought he would be great on a more up-tempo team. But still, some nights he would be your hero.
