Haliburton last two games:
58 points
32 assists
0 turnovers
Must be nice.

Now he decides to put Jett in.

Guards were out of control tonight. That Markelle injury is really a concern for me, because these guys are very sloppy.

Cole always doing too much.

Holy s###!

Paolo passing up so many shots for somebody that's suppose to be the guy. He has to take those shots. He has no confidence in his shot.

Watch our offense when he’s in the game …the D pays absolutely no attention to him …what do you think that means for Franz and Banchero ? Yeah, he’s hit some 3’s and even got loose on some back doors …but again he’s largely ignored …he’s not explosive …so yeah if you wanna keep playing him cause he makes good decisions and passes well doesn’t turn it over go for it …we honestly don’t have a choice right now …but I think once NBA teams put the screws down defensively we are in trouble .
And honestly …do you really wanna play the entire season …a crucial season in which we need to make the playoffs …with a rookie PG ?
Yes. He's the best option for the role after Fultz, which is why he was drafted.

Yeah, he wanted Wallace. Talented kid, but I think AB has the higher upside. Utah was trying to trade up with Detroit to jump in front of us to draft him. He would've been a perfect fit in Utah, and would've won the starting job out of training camp. The kid just makes the right play majority of the time. That pass to Isaac to close out the half last game was beautiful. He has a nice floater, too. I would like to see him attack the paint more because he can take advantage of the attention Paolo and Franz gets. I feel he's our best guard around the rim, outside of Fultz. He needs to showcase more of that part of his game.

Suggs has the form of a 40% three point shooter. I think he can get there, too. It's really been his shot selection that's kept his percentage down, but the past two games been a lot better.
Jett is a sniper. Can't wait for him to crack the rotation.

This. The guy could be a really solid player if he just realize his role. He seems to think he's back at UNC, where he was the guy.

He is far from a selfish player. Franz is the guy in my opinion that needs to step up. He is shooting under 40% from the field and has the same percentage as Paolo from three. He also is leading the team in shot attempts. Paolo hasn't attempted more than 18 shots in a game so far. I love both but want to be fair as neither have had a great start to the year.
Yeah, I agree. Franz has been playing selfish basketball since preseason. He hasn't passed to nobody outside of his brother, and I loved their connection, but he has to get other involve, too. He's been forcing a lot of shot so far this season. The 28 shots against the Lakers was crazy. I don't even think he went to the line much that game, which is even crazier.

Yeah, but his game management in the 4th quarter didn't help, either. His lack of in game adjustments and substitution pattern is holding this team back.

This kid has a special feel for the game. Love his game. Mose should've been had him in the rotation. It's an indictment he wasn't to begin with.

Paolo needs to fix his shot.

Mosley is the worst. Dude is an assistant. Reminds me of Stephen Silas.

Mosely did a horrible job managing the 4th quarter. He just sat there and watched the lead slipped away.

Can we please stop assuming he would have the same impact in our team?
Hawkins wouldn’t be in our rotation with all our guards healthy. Facts.
Suggs has more positive impact for our overall game than Hawkins.
Also i’m not giving up and Suggs. He’s Marcus Smart type impact player. Super important for a winning culture. He’s a consistent three point shot away from being an elite 3 and D player.
I don’t need him to be anything else..
Going forward we need an elite SG. Suggs will come off the bench.
He would have the same impact. The kid was the clear cut the best shooter in the draft. He could shoot on the move, spot up and off the dribble. Pretty much fits the exact player we need around Paolo and Franz. Paolo is averaging over 7 assists the past three games without a real shooter on the floor with him, imagine how many he'd average if he had a shooter on the floor with him. Hawkins is making life a lot easier for Zion, who is sort of similar to Paolo, with the power game and inconsistent shooting.
Look I love what Suggs brings on the defensive end, but the kid can't shoot or run the offense. His best fit is as a energy guy off the bench. He's a nice running partner for Cole off the bench.

18 minutes ago, fan for too long 2 said:Suggs and AB starting together is just comical. Might be the worst shot creating back court to ever start.
Yeah, but I'm more concern with Suggs, though. It's year 3 and we haven't seen no improvement on the offensive end. I never really watched him at Gonzaga, outside of the National Championship. I just brought in to the hype from all the draftniks, and boy were they wrong. The kid is the SG version of Isaac Okoro. Hopefully, he can turn it around, but like I said, it's year 3, so this might just be who he is. At this point, we're lucky if he turns into Marcus Smart.
As for Black, the kid has a natural feel for the game. Extremely raw, but has loads of potential. He seems to make the right play all the time. Needs to work on his shot and tighten up his ball handling, though.
Suggs offensive game has been the biggest disappointment so far this season. I never seen a guard get his pocket picked in open court more than him. The game just hasn't slowed down for him, and it's year 3 and that's a problem.

Hawkins went for 31 tonight.
This is the type of floor spacer we need around Paolo and Franz. The Pelican can draft their ass off.
-
Lively would've been a good pick for us at 11. I like Jett, but Lively adds an element that we've lacked since D12. The Mavs got a steal. The addition of Lively and Williams this off-season makes them a threat in the west. Tanking paid off for them last season.

You can say that about the whole team in the 2nd half.

Suggs has no bag whatsoever.

This. Cole and Suggs think there at LA Fitness playing pick up.

The "yes sir" say it all. Look like Paolo was putting in work on the World Team. Ant, Paolo and Franz would form the best young big 3 since the 2010s OKC team.

Damn this kid would've been a great fit next to Paolo and Franz. I still believe in Jett, but Hawkins was clearly the best shooter and most NBA ready in this draft.
