we should use that 2nd round pick. Okeke time is up, maybe Bitadze if he’s too expensive..

I see some top available players available. People forget about Djurisic! Imo he’s more talented than Topic, who is projected Top 5 pick. He could fall.

Karaban would be a nice replacement for Okeke

Trevon Brazile also nice hybrid PF/C

Ivisic could fall, absolutely would take him as Bitadze replacement

Pacome Dadiet is a great and underrated player. Absolutely a great replacement for Okeke.

other possible players that could be 2nd round players.

Chomche, Ajay Mitchell, Almansa, Scheierman, Bona, Reeves, Spencer, Kolek and many many more..

This draft is low on superstars and franchise players, but imo is loaded on good role players or potentially elite role players..
I like our draft position (bad draft to own a top 10 pick), especially with the success we had this season.

Karaban is leaning towards coming back.

WCJ has turned into Caleb Houstan. All he does is shoot 3’s on offense and misses most of the time. Defensively he doesn’t contest shots especially at the rim. I’m ready to see Goga get his minutes again because he at least gives you great energy and effort on the defensive end.

Dude has been awful. You kind of see now why Bulls fans turned on him early. His energy is off when the 3's aren't falling.

As much as I love WCJ I think he could be part of a trade with some picks for a very good PG. We could get by better with Goga, Mo, and JI manning the 5 than we do without a PG that can play good D and shoot 3s or a very good SG that can share some ball handling with Suggs.

Yeah, WCJ hasn't been the same. His game has regressed. It's almost like if he's not making 3's, he just check out.

Naz Reid has become the player many thought WCJ had the potential to be when he was traded to Orlando. The kids a stud. He's going to make bank when his contract is up. He'll only be 25-26 year old the next time he hits the market.

  4. Yeah, I think if either one gets traded it'll be to the Lakers. I think they both are Klutch clients.

I feel our target will be Anfernee Simons. He only has 2 years left on his contract (2 year - $53 million), so he kind of doesn't fit the timeline with Scoot and Sharpe. Plus, if they go BPA in the draft, one of the Kentucky guards will most likely be the best players on the board. I think this summer is the best time to trade him if they want to get the most bang for their buck, especially if they expect a jump from Scoot and Sharpe.

I think Kentucky could actually have just as much success as a more conventional recruiting school honestly. Cal hasn't had a final 4 team since KAT/Booker. Now that already good/great teams can recruit the best upperclassmen transfers it's so much harder to win with freshman.

It's going to take a while, though. I bet Arkansas has more success than Kentucky over the next five year.

  6. Balljunkie is going through it right now. I think Kentucky is going to have a hard time with life after Cal. Whatever coach they get isn't going to be able to recruit at the level of Cal. They can say goodbye to all those top 5 recruiting classes. Kentucky will be more of a transfer portal school now.

I think Cal will find that balance with the high school recruiting classes and transfer portal and dominate the SEC at Arkansas.

Our guys played good physical basketball tonight and took a game that the Pels really needed to win at home. If we pick up a good starting PG and move Suggs to SG we are looking amazing for next season.

True. We need that lead guard. If we can get Suggs to give us what Gary Harris gave the Nuggets in his third and fourth season (pre-injury) on offense to match his elite defense, it could do wonders for this squad. But we need to move on from Cole, Harris and Fultz, though.
