  1. We need this kind of play from Nelson more often.

  3. quote: Lee's suburban Orlando townhouse was robbed on Nov. 1, a night when his Orlando Magic routed the Sacramento Kings at Amway Arena. Lee, the 22nd pick of the NBA Draft in June, came home to find computers, television sets, I-pods, jewelry and two X-box video game players stolen from his residence. Lee and his brother, Anthony, also had several items of clothes taken in the robbery. "It was bad, but I'm kind of happy it happened before I got a (NBA) check because I really haven't even bought much of anything yet," Lee said before the Magic's game Saturday against the Washington Wizards. Magic center Dwight Howard, Lee's mentor much of his time in Orlando, allowed the rookie shooting guard to live with him for a few days while Orange County Sheriffs investigated the crime. A flashy, Gucci watch that was a present from Howard upon Lee's arrival in Orlando was also stolen. Lee, who will make $1.17 million this season, is in the process of moving into a gated complex that offers better security. http://www.floridatoday.com/article/20081109/SPORTS16/811090324/1002/SPORTS Good thing Lee wasn't home.
  4. Pietrus has a nice shot behind the arc.
  5. Jameer 10 points halfway in the 1st quarter.

The Nets are shopping Sean Williams around, they offer the Bobcats Sean Williams and Trenton Hassell for Matt Carroll. We should see if there interested in Redick for Williams.

    Sergio rodriguez

quote: Rodriguez On The Move? According to one source today, the Portland Trail Blazers are going to meet with guard Sergio Rodriguez to discuss the possiblity of trading him. This comes as a response to Rodriguez saying earlier in the week that he would like to be moved to a team that would give him more of a role. Honestly, he might have more of a role in Portland if he were taking better advantage of his opportunities. Rodriguez has played in all seven of the Blazers' games yet is averaging only two points per game on 33% shooting - 20% from behind the arc. To earn meaningful minutes he's going to have to do something with the ones he gets now, and considering how well Rudy Fernandez, Steve Blake, and Brandon Roy are playing together, he had better start getting his act together. When you have a promising young rookie in Jerryd Bayless sitting on the bench getting no minutes at all, you have to be concerned about your own performence. If Rodriguez continues to shoot as poorly has he has so far, it's a matter of time before Nate McMillan decides to give Bayless a few of those minutes now taken up by Rodriguez. If Bayless plays well, it could be Rodriguez sitting out games entirely. http://www.hoopsworld.com/Story.asp?story_id=10572
  8. quote: As far as real news goes, Kevin Durant is a game-time decision tonight against Orlando with a sore left ankle. Forward Chris Wilcox is definitely sitting this one out, his second straight, with a knee injury. http://blog.newsok.com/nbainokc/2008/11/12/the-new-look-swift/

God help JJ get a trade! Help some of these people with a pair of glasses because they can't see what has gone on recently in the games because SVG is getting zilch from the bench and it doesn't have anything to do with JJ. Help them see that the Magic lost to the Trailblazers the other night and it had nothing to do with JJ. Help them see that the bench produced nothing and JJ was not on the court. Help Otis see that Dooling is starting for the Nets and kicking butt and he screwed up not resigning him. That's it for now God but I'm sure I'll be asking for more help for these Magic fans as they find more things to blame on JJ. Look at Ewing face

Redick is pretty much in the same place, he was in last year. I kind of feel bad for the kid, he thought this was his year.

Assessment of Courtney Lee thus far.

quote: Originally posted by echo4papa: quote: Originally posted by Magicjunky:C.Lee could also be a very good PG on second unit when paired with turk. Everyone compares him to stucky but most of the time when stucky played last year besides the playoffs he wasn't the main ballhandler with prince or billups at times. Stan needs to look at our divison and play our young guns bc nobody can compete with us in the southwest. Tell that to the currently undefeated Atlanta Hawks... that we lost our opening game against. The Hawks are going to put up a fight for the division crown this year.

Hell, none of them are even in the top 3 players on their own teams. And since this board is entirely too predictable: Memphis: Gay, Mayo, Conley Milwaukee: Jefferson, Redd, Bogut Portland: Roy, Aldridge, Oden Memphis: Gay, Mayo, Gasol Milwaukee: Jefferson, Redd, Bogut Portland: Roy, Aldridge, Fernandez Conley isn't even the best PG on the Grizz, and we haven't seen Oden play a full game since college.

The Raptors are going after Gerald Wallace.

Miami, Memphis, Philly, Cleveland, Chicago... If that the case, Cleveland is a pretty good 3pt shooting team too, and Rodriguez agent is pissing off alot of people within the Blazers organization.

This are players we had, who went on to have better career when they left the Magic. Using Varejao and Billups in this example is a little silly since neither actually played a game with the team. Who's fault is that? What I meant was that you can't really fault a team for failing to develop a player when the player wasn't around long enough to be developed anyway. Blaming a team's management for failing to develop young players is a worthy criticism, but blaming them for failing to develop young players who never even suited up with the team is just silly. Zaza Pachulia is a player we let get away as a way of protecting Grant Hill's ego. Varejao is a player who was on the team in name only. It's hard to feel bad about losing a player who was never *really* on the team. It's the same reason I don't care about Rodney Stuckey: because we didn't trade Stuckey. We traded a mid first round pick. The Magic had no real way of knowing that draft was going to turn out as deep as it did. The 15th pick the year before was Cedric Simmons and the year before that it was Antoine Wright. Not exactly high quality. Side note: Has there ever been a draft as deep for solid 3rd or 4th option players and bench role players, that was also so utterly bereft of stars as the 2007 draft? With the exception of Durant and maybe Oden, there isn't a single player out of that draft who looks like they'll ever be an allstar, and yet probably a solid half of the players in those two rounds are in their team's rotations. It's bizarre. Stuckey and Varejao situation is completely different. Varejao was actually on our team, he came in with Howard and Nelson in the 2004 draft, Stuckey was never apart of the Magic, so there a big different between the two.
