Anyone wants to give Vogel full control and let him assume GM position too?

He looked smooth on defense when switching and played with a lot of intensity, made a bunch of good passes and just overall really liked what he did!

I dont think we will trade him unless there will be an obvious (longterm) upgrade available or part of a trade for top5-10 pick. It seems like that trade rumours and being moved to 2nd unit are making him more focused and play better. Cant complain.

Only trade idea I liked so far was to trade Vuc to Celtics for Brooklyns pick (If I remember it correctly). It will allow us to fight for playoff spot without worrying if we should tank or not for a higher pick.

What Vogel actually said was, when asked if they consired sending Mario to D-league, he said "Sure we considered it, but we want him here for now".

Trades I see us making (if), is either Payton or Fournier + Green/Mario and whatever else is needed to get an upgrade at either PG/SG spot for a top scorer. (Trade Fournier for SG upgrade or Payton for PG upgrade) I dont see us making changes in frontcourt.

In latest shootaround interview, Vogel talks about shot selection, mentions AG and his bad pull up jumpers and how they and AG himself are handling it. Those bad shot went to 3 and then 1 in last 2 games. Frank really has a good control of the team I think, players listen to him and work on what they need to. Its really refreshing to hear exact issues mentioned and see improvement in them. It seems like there is always a plan in place, we didnt have that in last few years.

Have to agree, and in postgame interviews, everyone seems to be repeating Vogels thoughts so to me it seems like this team is very in tune and making progress game in game out. Vogel really has a way to simplify things, similar to SVG who made all decisions seem so trivial. I think thats a sign of a great coach.

Those few threes he took in OKC game looked good. I was just watching replays yesterday and his form has improved a lot!

Lucky Rob, theres no way he anticipated anything less than 82 games played for each player on our roster.

I think its a great problem to have. You still want guys to fight for the minutes, and not get comfortable. At the same time, as time goes on, best players and rotations will present them self, and by trade deadline, it will give us an extra piece that we can trade. Imagine a roster without Bis. Now suddenly we need every player to play their minutes. I feel like this is all part of a plan and philosophy of Robs team buliding process.

Fact that we can even discuss possibility of trading Vuc tells you all about the strides we have made this offseason. Last season we couldnt even imagine trading one of our core guys, but now pretty much noone is untouchable. Considering Henny never does anything obvious, and since everyone thinks Vuc gets traded, I am expecting Vuc to stay. :)

Since team improved so much that we were not in lottery anymore, now we can get players either through free agency or through trades. To do trades you need assets, and seems like thats what Rob is doing now. Its called being proactive and not just waiting for FA to maybe sign with us. We are signing players to good deals (for us) which will give us plenty of options down the road. I just dont see what is there to hate about these moves. If we cannot get FA in this market, then we will have to do trades, and for that we will need players (which we are signing now).

I really think Rob anticipated this, thats why the trade was made on draft night. Seems like we will rely on our players/coach improvments for one more year before trying again in FA. We knew before this years FA even started that it will be very thin. With Ibakas contract expiring next year, we are keeping our options open.
