  1. I find myself in an odd position, I can’t really point to one guy on our team as a “problem” that we absolutely have to solve. We have a lot of guys who seem injury prone - G Harris, Kelle, WCJ, have all missed significant time over the last couple years. I think Chuma is probably gone this summer, and I’m not sure if we can afford Goga, as I expect someone will make him a better offer. If we can find a reliable replacement for G Harris, we might move on from him, just because of his injury history. I think Ingles has been good enough and consistent enough that you take the option. I actually think we need to explore trade options for Cole.

I'm betting he doesn't based on every single piece of evidence we've ever had.

I don’t expect him to suddenly start making threes. I do expect he will continue to be a positive influence on the team, and that he can make the guys around him play a bit more cerebral. I think it’s all down to his health. He has shown a willingness to do what ever the team has asked of him.

I don’t think he will ever be a consistent starter for us, but he is still only 25. Markelle probably isn’t going to have a big game where he can’t miss like Cole; but he isn’t going to shoot you out of a game on a night where he can’t hit crap and continues taking bad shots, also like Cole. I don’t know if anyone would give him more than a vet minimum this summer, his history just doesn’t justify much more. I would try to keep him, on a much more team friendly, short term contract; something like 3 years/$8M, with the third being a team option.

He’s only 25 years old. I’d honestly rather see him get paid and contribute to a team that can utilize him more than we can than settle for a vet minimum deal to ride the pine behind Anthony Black. I love Kelle and at this point I just want to see him make the most of his career with the limitations his body has put on him. He can’t maximize that skillset here with the roster we’ve assembled. I think there’s decent evidence out there that AB is already better for the team than Kelle is

I would have to disagree. , Kelle comes in and can calm the team down and get them back into running some sets, Ingles can to a lesser degree. AB can’t do that, at least not yet. I’m not sure if Cole will ever, though there are flashes - he’s just not a natural PG.

I want to resign Fultz and give him a rental! Just at a vet minimum contract at this point.(or 5-8 mil max) We already did him good with a big contract, he needs to return the favor if he wants to be part of this.

Hes a great mentor going forward and he can still play. But he’s definitely not the type of player, he used to be. Very sad!!

You and I don’t often agree, but for once we are 100% on the same page!

Playoff scenario that would be best for us

    1)Boston vs 8) Philadelphia

    2) Milwaukee vs 7) Indiana

    3) Cleveland vs 6) Orlando

    4) New York vs 5) Miami

    Play-in

    7) Indiana vs 10) Atlanta

    8) Philadelphia vs 9) Chicago

Let New York and Miami beat the crap out of each other.

I’m out of upvotes, but I agree 100%

No such thing as a bad win. Hopefully we learn from that first half, if we start like that in New York or vs Indiana, we’re in trouble.

Really impressive defense in the 2nd half by the starters. The bench was real bad tonight, but we survived

We do seem to have a bad habit of starting slow, and it probably will cost us a game somewhere along the line; but we should all know by now, a slow start doesn’t automatically mean a loss, regardless of what Magictime22 thinks!

You just don’t seem to learn. Every time you have declared a loss in the first or early second quarter, the Magic battle back, and usually win. I hope that $300 isn’t your lunch this month, cause I see lots of PB&J in your future! It would serve you right for betting against “your “ team!

PS Magic up by 11 with 1:15 to go

It's a "giveaway" game tonight as they rest a bunch of guys and it's a back-to-back. That's why I am about to make some easy money tonight from a bunch of coworkers.

If we don't play defense. There is no chance to win tonight. NONE. Once the lead stretched to 21 the game was over. In the second half it will swing back and forth from an 8 point deficit to a 16 point deficit. It's a giveaway game folks. When I found out that it was such I bet some people in my office 300 bucks that the Wizards would snag the win tonight before the game. They all said that the Wizards are horrible and that they have lost 15 straight. They were all eager to take that bet. At least I'll make a little something this evening to make up for such a horrible game.

Thank you for your insight, Debbie Downer! Wah, wah, waaaaaah. Tie game!

i know, but like i said. The scouts had concerns about his athleticism in the NBA..

Sometimes we focus too much on those abilities rather than the IQ, feel for the game and other aspects and limit those players ceiling.

Just like you said about Reed Sheppard.

But lessons were learned in recent years. I doubted Haliburton too, for the same reasons (also strange looking shot).

Doncic, on the other hand, was never a doubt for me. He was a different player in europe. Never seen such a dominant player at any age in Europe ever. But scouts still doubted him (physical ability) and Doncic wasn’t drafted 1-2.

This is why scouting is part science, part psychology, and part luck. In person interviews really helps to understand who a player will become.

I found this on TNT this afternoon. What does it mean?

It means we either won by more than the oddsmakers said we would, won when they said we would lose, or lost by less than they predicted. If they predicted us to lose by 10, and we lost by 7 or won, then we beat the spread. If they predict us winning by 10 and we win by 12, we beat the spread.

Game over. I already called the blowout loss tonight to the Knicks. Relatively easy call to make and I made it correctly. No defense. No winning. Plain and simple.

When will you learn not to be so negative? I’m not saying a bad start is positive, but it’s not always the end of the world, either! I’ve seen you say this kind of thing before, only to end up eating your words by the end of the game.Try waiting and watching until at least halfway thru the third before jumping to a negative conclusion.

It’s not just you, but the mood swings on this board lately is enough to give me whiplash . I think we need some risperidone or abilify prescriptions for all the bi-polar reactions on here.

Also watching the ceremony i definitely do not agree with Shaq being the greatest Magic player ever

To me thats unequivocally Dwight Howard without a doubt!

It’s all about how you look at it. Dwight had the better Magic career, Shaq the much better “full” career. Frankly, I wouldn’t retire either of their jerseys based on what they did here in Orlando.

I'm not following this thread at all and have no idea who Risacher is, but what a totally weird post.  Guy obviously has some issues.

I hope he doesn't let the door hit him in the tuchus on the way out.

I’m actually okay with the door hitting him in the a— on the way out! Lol!!

  15. I would hate to give up on Fultz, but I definitely would do it for the right move. I’m afraid he is never going to be physically right to live up to his potential. I would be okay bringing him back as a cheaper backup.

I would also prefer not to give up on AB this soon, as I think there is a lot of untapped potential there as well; and I think he has a chance to be very good; but again, for the right move I would consider moving him. I don’t think Houstan has as much potential, but I wouldn’t mind keeping him for another year to see how much more he can grow as a player. He rarely makes mistakes and seems to play decent defensively..

I honestly think we need to move on from Cole once he is not a “poison pill” contract- this summer once the new contract kicks in. He is too much of a black hole, and his BBIQ seems low. Maybe use him as part of a free-agent sign and trade?

If we don’t make a trade at the deadline, then I would like us to move Chuma and/or G Harris to open up a roster spot for another PG. We could possibly elevate Queen to a regular contract and make McClung into a two-way, or vice-versa if there isn’t a better PG to be had. I was surprised we brought back both K Harris and Schofield, and signed Queen to the third two-way; I really thought we needed Mac or another PG with one of those spots.

Edit: I would be okay with releasing K Harris or Schofield to make McClung or another PG our third two-way.
