I know, but that's stupid as well. Better hurt the stats or a knee?

The injury was with a 75-53 advantage for Germany and 5 minutes left. I've pointed the same in the NBA, I'll never understand why coaches doesn't protect their starting lineups when the game is already over. Especially when there're multiple games in a week, as it happens in NBA and World Tournament.

Boston FO probably agree, but the problem with the market as constructed right now, is that every all-star level player automatically gets a max (a lot of times not even all-stars), and if not, he'll request a trade (and sometimes indicate the team that want to join too...) From my point of view, those kind of crazy max deals should be somehow reserved only to players that are borderline MVP. And then there should be a lower level for every other great player. But that's not how it works right now with that CBA and those rules.

Brown is in that situation, but nobody was liking that massive deal. ;)

But we'll be in the same position at some point. Let's hope they develop and they really deserve those crazy numbers.

I was going to post the same. I don't trust Arenas a lot, but he could be right. Talent is here, we've seen it. Attitude, I don't know.

I agree, it's the right profile/guy to have in a team, and there're 3 of those contracts starting from this season, FO could mix team guys with upside guys if they want.

Orlando mentioned as a possible suitor for Siakam, but I've no idea of how reliable that source could be. I would be really surprised if that happens, especially considering his position (except if considered as a C in a positionless lineup) His age and contract situation doesn't fit either. https://www.sportsnet.ca/nba/article/separation-between-raptors-siakam-widening-as-prospects-start-slow-at-summer-league/

I agree with all the concerns in the last few posts. Another things that we could improve. Like I've wrote a few times, if you want to be a contender and win it all someday, you need to be great in a lot of aspects, and FO sometimes seem to be content to be just good enough.

Woj tweeted that is going to be between 7 and 9 december, that was the weird part for me, last season we played 25 games until that date.

I could like it too like I enjoy the european ones we talked about, but why december? I mean, season just started, how a team qualify? Wasn't supposed to be a mid season tournament to end with the all-star parade?

I wasn't really expecting the in-season tournament being held on early december...

This! Also, I've never seen a random player of another that is not even a star (Sharpe) mentioned so many times and in so many different topics. Maybe admins should create a section only for him! :P

I agree on everything except Kyrie. The bad choice was to trade for him first of all, so I understand that now they were somehow forced to resign him. But IMO that pairing is terrible, and it's a lot of season that Irving provides more problems than solutions.

Well, they probably consider that the job for the new season is already done, so Parker is going to have time until 15th december and then the deadaline. I hated him as a player when he was playing in Euroleague cause he always killed my team, but he was a really samrt guy. Hope he's as smart in the new role, he has probably showed that considering how fast was his rising. WeltPark or SouthPark? :P

I agree that max contracts should be given on a different basis, but unfortunately is a few season that NBA doesn't work that way. Franz will get it unless something strange happens (like accepting a little less cause he loves Orlando and the trust FO showed on him... but his agent isn't going to agree :P) and management couldn't risk an unhappy guy requiring a trade later.

Absolutely. In a previous post, I was considering that sitting FA has been the best thing to do in recent years, there've been a lot of crazy deals that teams will regret, but seems like everyone need to overpay to sign players in that part of the season. I definitely consider the deadline and draft night better moments to make moves.

Respect that opinion, but for me those are missed opportunities. Even if the fact that have less value now is true right now (and I'm not convinced about that), we missed the same situations multiple time in the past. It's not like they've adapted to the market this summer, that's what they've done in multiple seasons. In the bold, another key part is "still figuring what they have". We don't know yet, so not adding enough assets could easily bite us in the future.
