Guys, with a sign and trade Orlando would be able to offer much more than any team that would just sign him with the Max without a trade. Add in no state taxes and he would make 20 plus million more playing for Orlando as opposed to signing a Max contract for a team like Chicago.

Here's my theory on what Otis is doing... I believe he's waiting for Lebron and Bosh to decide where they are going in hopes they go to different teams and don't form a super team. Once they have decided then he would pull the trigger. If he pulled the trigger now then Lebron would see CP3 and Dwight together and would know there is no way in hell he wins a championship without Bosh and Wade. Getting CP3 before they decide could essentially create the Superteam.

I could see Utah going for a Boozer for Gortat and Anderson/Bass trade. Gives them a real Center to start in place of Memo who had a terrible year and gives them a back PF behind Milsap.

Last season Orlando was number 1 - Week 12 33-8 1 They swept their season series with the Lakers and the Spurs. They're 17-5 on the road and 18-4 against the West. And they just beat three division leaders (Spurs, Lakers and Nuggets) on their last trip. Any questions? Orlando proceeded to go 0-2 the next week. -
Howard's struggles offensively w/ C's are a concern(Sentinel)

I'm sorry but basketball is not this complicated. It's called a turnaround J and that's all it takes. -
"Bynum will soon becoem the best center in the nba if he remains healthy
Hoopslife replied to Darthmagic's topic in Around the NBA/Globe Game
That's no secret. With Howard playing like crap this season Bynum has been the best Center this year. -
Not sure what Dwight did over the summer because I don't see any improvement in his game...

Anybody even the slightest bit worried about our summer moves?(link)

Just check out the stats on ESPN for Orlando and Cleveland - Orlando Stats Cleveland Stats Games Started row for Cleveland - 8 8 8 8 6 2 Games Started row for Orlando - 9 4 6 9 6 3 6 2 You need consistency to start developing a good team defense and Orlando hasn't had that yet. -
Dwight is not mature enough to handle the double teams he's facing without playing with a stretch 4 and it's showing. Just look how better he played with Ryan Anderson. He's just not mature enough or good enough offensively yet to handle doubles. The good news is Rashard will be back in 1 game and we'll all start to see Dwight get back in his comfort zone.
-
And now we see why Rashard Lewis is important to this team. Orlando can not run thier offense without a stretch 4 because teams just double Dwight. Add in the fact that Rashard is a much better defender then Ryan Anderson and you will see a much improved Offensive and Defensive team whenhet comes back in 1 game. Never really realized how important he was until the suspension...

Apparently we low-balled Turk and things got awkward (Sentinel).

quote: I thought I recalled Otis going on record saying we offered something along 5 @ $40-45? He did. But his first offer was what was stated in the article and then right before Hedo went to the Raptors Otis made a final offer of 5 @ 40-45.
