Never doubting J.I alot of fickle people on here. Naysayers and doubters...

    Hold that!!!

Jay Magic, I read the things that you say, sending positive vibes to us as fans. But I absolutely agree with you on this one.

I'm always puzzled by some of the negative critiquing of JI. We all must remember how long he had been sidelined by back- to-back injuries. It takes time for JI--or any player--to heal and strengthen the body to get back to being the outstanding player that we all witnessed in the past..

A broken bone may not allow you to walk or jump the way you use to. I know, ask my my once broken left big toe. :)

Am I right, JJZL--or any other participant on this board who has some knowledge or connection with the medical profession?

Great win to make up for yesterday one, but against the Knicks is more special even if still count 1.

Best game of the season for Isaac? Hope he'll find his form, he's been healthy as far as we know, we would really need his best version in 2025.

I agree about Isaac showing up in this game. As I posted earlier, I was happy to see that he wasn't smiling after every foul called against him--as he would always do in previous games. Last night he had his game face on. He was dead serious.

In previous games, I wanted to mention that he was smiling too much, not because he did something positive, but after his hand was "caught in the cookie jar". I didn't say anything at that time because I thought I would be criticized for saying he was smiling too much.

Last night, JI had that Giannis Antetokounmpo look on his face the entire game. Okay, well maybe not.

Very impressive. go Magic! I think i owe a few apologies to Cole and Wendall.

You and others weren't wrong a few games ago about how poorly the 2 were playing.

In one other recent game that we won--including tonight--Cole did a better job of being under control and getting others involved instead of trying to win the game by himself.

With Cole at point guard tonight, the ball was distributed where it touched more hands and gave teammates like Wendall and KCP the confidence to make the open shots.

    I was impressed.

Edit:  I think a lot of the improvements made has to do with coaching.

KAT did sustain an injury during the Knicks last game on Saturday night against the Bulls when he took a hard fall driving to the basket. It's a knee injury. He was limping pretty bad and left the game before it ended.

Yeah, Okay. They play Toronto 2 nights from tonight (Jan. 8th). So, I'm keeping an eye out on that game to see how quickly he bounces back from that knee injury.  ; )

not sure if he is just resting or injured or what. probably just underestimating our depleted squad.

kudos to the vets, JI, KCP, Dell and Cole. what a time to pick up all their slack at the same time.

I agree. I think the Knicks held Towns out underestimating our depleted squad. I don't believe he was injured. In my opinion the Knicks thought they had enough fire power to beat the Magic without Towns

I try to get out and they pull me back in! lol. Solid half, especially considering the circumstances. I’d love to beat this team if unlikeables

There you be! I knew it,,,I just knew it! It's the Magic in you!--me too. And I'm at my vacation home in Maryland watching on my computer.

No Paolo, no Jalen, no Franz, no Gary tonight. Being this depleted and going into MSG against the front runner AHoles. I think im sitting this one out tonight

Who you think you're fooling, All Eyes. We will see and hear from you in a little while with one of your eyes open, watching the game.  :)

Yes, everyone deserves massive amounts of credit here. Mosley has exceeded my expectations. Weltman and Parker have found some real gems.

That being said, i wish Anthony Parker's last name was Packer. The we could all call them Pac/man!

I'll see my self out now.

    So funny, hootie249.

  9. I know we all want a player to play hard and be aggressive, but Suggs plays  too hard and aggressively, which sometimes ends in him being injured. Suggs style of play reminds me of Michael Carter-Williams who played for the Magic. He was also injured a lot because he played too hard and out of control.

Your not wrong. Cole has that mentality in him. I’m therefore surprised he’s loves it in Orlando. I remember him and Suggs arguing it out during summer league. When Suggs first got drafted. I remember saying Cole will not be on this team for long. He was clearly „jealous“ of the Suggs hype That said he apparently had change of mentality. Not sure what happened.

With Cole, i wish we’d let him play his role as a heater of the bench. He’s defensively limited but he hustles! I can respect that.

I feel like this coaching staff only values defense. But imo you have to feature naturally offensive gifted players on your squad.

A defensive minded squad should be able to carry like 1-3 players that aren’t defensively gifted but they care. Also i don’t get the point of drafting a player like Howard, if you can’t live with his defensive inabilities.

That said, happy healthy new years to everyone

Wishing you, also, a happy healthy new years, Orlandoholic.  I pray that we all stay safe.      Onwqh3.png

It worked out so I’m not gonna complain at all, but Cole going improv put Da Silva in a really bad position on the court and we’re pretty lucky he didn’t get called for an offensive foul. Especially with how bad the refs were that night.

I’ll take the W and Cole’s nerves of steel!

I agree. Some may call me a Cole hater.  JJZL, I know you were at the game and had a better angle on that play by Cole to win the game than those of us watching on tv. But during the time out I saw a close up of "coach" Cole where he pulled Da Silva off to the side and appeared to be strategizing, telling Da Silva what he wanted him to do. Coach Mosley had huddled with the other players near the bench. I knew right then that Cole had planned to take the final shot. And when he got the ball, dribbled around some defenders, and took off near the baseline, I said to myself: "oh, oh, there he goes!" I knew Cole had no intention to pass the ball.

Old "motor mouth" Cole was talking a mile a minute during the post-game interview to let the viewers/fans know that he can be the goto guy to close out a game for the win. He was so excited. But I don't trust him in making such decisions in every game. He is too inconsistent.

Go ahead and down-vote me all you want.

Holy **** what a win!! 21 pt comeback with our backups! TDS and Caleb get all the credit and props to Cole for never losing that confidence in himself to hit a game winner

Whoa,,,wait just one minute, All Eyes. I am giving my man, Goga, props too. . .adding to your list. He did a little of everything, especially guarding the inbounds play from the nets with .8 sec. left.

Edit: Goga's defense was outstanding, and his offense wasn't too bad. It added a little icing on the cake.

What you trading for Cam Johnson? Cole + Gary still?

Yeah, Cole's value was on display when the Magic needed it the most.

At the same time, I will miss Moe's energy and grittiness. These traits helped to motivate his teammates to fight harder.
