It seems that with everything that has happened, it all points toward putting a road block in the way of getting approval for the new arena. And let's not forget that the Magic has the potential to become a dynasty for years to come. My gut feelings are that NONE of what has happened was a coincidence....from Gainesville to Miami and with Orlando in between.
Think about it!!!

I second this. Billy needs a place in the Hall. Please make it happen.

Can someone do a signature with the caption: "HALL OF SHAME"? The pictures featured should be Brian Hill and Billy Donovan. Something similar to Marc Acre's "HALL OF FAME", except Hill and BillyD would be the highlight of the "HALL OF SHAME".

Hey, Dark! I see you are playing the "age" game. While I am not a supporter of Dennis Scott, Marc Ivaroni was born in 1956,,,You say you are 21,,,You do the math.
Oh, by the way! I am a 62 yr. old female posting on this board. Pretty cool, huh?

Goose was getting a bit old for the gig... any Magic fan could tell what he was going to say before he said it. Matty is fantastic. It's nice to actually here something interesting coming from a color commentator.
The best part about Matty is when both teams are playing really crappy... TOs, bad shots, etc. You can hear him laughing in the background... fantastic!
Oh no! Matt Goukas is so boring,,,he nearly puts me to sleep. Also, he talks too much during the game (mostly about things that are not happening on the court).
After one of the magic players make a shot or an incredible play on the ball, Goukas is sitting there talking about something else around the NBA and then acknowleges the play long after it is over. I'm sitting there talking to the tv, telling Goukas to shut up!
By the way, I believe Goose is younger than Goukas. That's my opinion.

I want the Goose back!(sad face) I always tuned into the pregame shows just to see and listen to the Goose. And he just brought so much more excitement (no pun intended) during the games when he would let out a "hew-ew-ew-ew!!!,,,did you see that!" whenever one of the magic players made an exciting play or an exciting shot. He just had an amazing "basketball aura" about him.
And don't go telling me about what he was ALLEGEDLY accused of doing. I still have a "raised eyebrow" about the "alleged" incident, and I am a female.

That's a large price to pay.
Explain, please!
Who is Anez, and why would he or she become the color analyst for the magic if Goukas is promoted? Is there a protocol that moves Anez up to that position if Matt Goukas becomes an assistant coach?

Check this out:
Marc Ivaroni played with the Philadelphia 76ers when they won the NBA Championship in 1983. Matt Goukas was an assistant coach with the 76ers that year.
I don't know if Goukas has any opinion about Ivaroni's coaching abilities, but maybe Goukas could use his past basketball relationship with Ivaroni to push for him becoming our new coach.

Knappy, I found a picture of Ivaroni. I tried to post it 2 different ways. Don't know if it worked. He looks like the kind of guy that could get the job done. By the Way, I said that because I'm a female...ha,ha!

Some of you posters have been encouraging people to go to the Chat room for the game. Is this it?

I agree with you, chosen12. I do not feel that the announcer was rubbing it in the Celtics' faces. I could not watch the game, but I was disturbed when I read that Grant Hill was extremely upset. I know that the Magic has struggled to get to the playoffs, but I am extremely happy that we made it even though we blew a 19 or 20 point lead. Now, here is my problem with Grant Hill (and I'm not going to "sugarcoat it"), but how dare he get upset since he has played very little since joining the Magic (what?) seven years ago? I feel that this is a great accomplishment for our younger fellas. Most of these guys have only been on the team for about 2 years!
I'm sorry, but I am really upset with Grant right now for spoiling "the moment" for our team.

If you factor in a win over Toronto tonight, then hopefully, JD is correct.
I pretty much guarantee a win tonight. However, it will be close.

Let's hope that they (the Heat) wore down T.J. Ford, Bosh, and their teammates. Let's hope that the Magic takes advantange of this.

The Glass is still Half Full. As mention in this space a few weeks ago, the playoffs have started for your Orlando Magic. Every remaining game has postseason implications. The key battle is for the seventh and eighth spots. Below is a look at the remaining schedules for the teams in question. As GHF does virtually every morning, go ahead a mark W
