1) we have had 3 bad effort defenders in our starting lineup since Franz has been out - Paolo, bane, and black. Good God Black's lateral quickness is non-existent, molasses. Remember we still took a hit going from KCP to Bane defensively. Although I do see Bane putting in more effort lately.
2) Mose isn't our offensive coach. That's Prunty. When it comes to Paolo, what we should be asking is why isn't Prunty running plays designed for Paolo? Why isn't Prunty putting Paolo is the post to dominate with his size, like ever. It seems there's a conscious approach to get the ball moving and get everyone else involved which has benefitted Bane and Black. Could Prunty be doing this because Paolo isn't shooting well this year? Or maybe Paolo can't remember plays well and has to defer to 1 on 1? I don't know. I think Prunty is more who we should be focusing on for why Paolo isn't blossoming this year. We have all seen what Paolo is capable of so we know it's in there somewhere.
I don't think we should depend on one player to play 1 on 1 because that's what he is good at. That is called "padding stats". Paolo was putting up excellent numbers last season, but that's not good enough to put us at the top in our division and not get past the first round in the playoffs.
I believe it was JJZFL who said it best. Paolo cannot run at a fast pace, which is what our game plan this season is designed to do. The Magic has to slow the game down for him and it's not getting enough players involved. It's a team sport, not a one-player sport.

The team was playing like they were tired. They need to rest on their nights off and stop staying out late at night partying at the clubs.

I agree. That was one of the most boring, uninspired games this season. I like the way Bane uses his vet experience to point out things to a teammate on the court.

Jase is too short to defend against point guards on most teams. Many times he gets lost on defense. If the Magic brings in a legitimate point guard that's not a midget, Jase should be the 3rd coming off the bench.

Thanks, jmmagicfan. These are not "official game thread starters" that I have been posting. Remember, it was the end of last season I said I was retiring from designing and posting the official ones. Now, I just throw something up so as to add a little color for each game. I didn't intend to post one for each game.
By the way, you mentioned about me being out of town. Well, I will be flying up to my vacation home in Maryland on February 28 and stay a month. While there I'm going on a cruise. So, I won't be able to post about the games while out at sea.

I might be wrong, but I predict the problem might be either Suggs or Paolo--each wanting the ball in his hands. Suggs, especially after his heroics in the last game. Tonight he might try to persevere in being the star of the show and play hero ball which might cause the Magic to lose this game.

Ain't that the truth. I hate to see it anytime in any sport, especially when lesser teams use to do it to us when they beat us and we were the better team.
