Some of you all know that the Warriors are my 2nd favorite team. Even though Cousins started the season playing well for the Warriors, he has struggled lately, and he admits it. I'm not saying that he won't play well tonight. I think when the second units come in the game, Birch will be a good match up for Looney. They are both athletic and good defenders, although Looney is a better scorer.

ML6, have you been watching any or many of the Warriors games--well I have. Many times, the other teams have Cousins surrounded and smothered to the point that he has difficulty passing the ball out to other players. He tries to make a lay up, going one-on-three (or 4) and turns the ball over.

Cousins was out last night when the Warriors were defeated by the Heat. Cousins will play tonight against the Magic. Cousins has done okay since his return from injury; however with weight and size, he is a force to be reckoned with under the basket. Other teams have triple teamed him (with some success). The Magic are going to have to bring their 'A' game.

I agree. Yeah, just like a few games ago where he played well--which is out of the norm. I wondered if there were rare games like those was the reason the staff is holding on to him and allowing him to get big minutes (unless they are showcasing him.)

Most of the time when Cousins was triple teamed or more, he was not able to pass the ball out to a teammate. He tried to lay the ball up, but he would miss or the other team stripped the ball. But on the other hand, as you said, if you try to play him straight up, he will have a huge night.

I'm beginning to wonder about this (see bold) myself. This is the second time his decision making (rotations) was totally off.

It's baffling. What did Clifford have to say in the post game interview? I hope the press put HIM on the hot seat, and I'm not talking about what the players did not do.

Yep. Even if we had won a close game tonight. If you have followed the Warriors (as I have), Vuch and Birch are going to have problems with guarding Cousins. Other teams are sending quadruple teams at cousins when he is posting up under the basket. Cousins is a big strong guy, just like Shaq. I don't know if "stick man" Isaac is going to be able to help on Cousins. I don't want (Isaac) to get hurt.

I agree 100%. I mentioned in an earlier post that changes needed to be made at around the 8 minute mark in the fourth quarter. I know that we can spread the blame around, but that 4th quarter was a head scratcher, especially watching Fournier running around like a chicken with it's head cut off, and chucking the ball (missing terribly). He's back to his bad habits. And don't let me start about Mr. Grant.

I agree. In the 4th quarter, Clifford left that unit in the game (with Grant at the point) too long. It was at the 8 minute mark, when the Knicks were making a huge run. Birch is good on defense, but we needed Vuch in there for the points.

On one of our possessions, did anyone else watch Grant put the ball on the floor and let it roll to the half court line? He is acting so cocky now since Briscoe has been out. He thinks he is Steph Curry.

This is so true. I can't stand to watch when he is in the game.

We routed them 116-87 back in Dec. 2018 and Kawhi played then.

Okay, let's not go back to analyzing that last game we lost. Let's be happy with this win and hope the Magic can go on another winning streak.
