Derozan and Payton would be a worse shooting combo from 3 than Payton Oladipo.

Fournier isnt under contract so he wouldnt matter. Trading Hezonja with 3 years of rookie deal left would be a no for us. Dipo was a fit for them and was moveable for us.

San Antonio and Dallas can play the no state income tax card so our main sell to Conley is the East being wide open behind Cleveland. He would be perfect for this team and you could rest him plenty with Payton as backup.

He isn't as good as Chris Bosh but there is a comp there. Bosh was at 16.2/5.4 at age 29. Averaged 21/7 and 19/.4 after James left (although shortened seasons with the blood clots)

The only danger with Fournier is him signing an offer sheet with somebody right away which would tie up that money until we made a decision.

The main difference is the crippling contract of Arenas vs an expiring Jennings. Jennings was a dart throw that a Skiles vet could come in and stabilize the team, without long term harm if he didn't. Arenas was an anchor.

Ibaka's rebounds are down thanks to Adams, Kanter, and Westbrook now grabbing 8 a game. It's more noticeable on the offensive glass than defensively, which makes sense since he spends more time near the 3pt line. Blocks are concerning. He shot 69 3pt in the playoffs and made 31 of them.

I wouldn't mind a flier on Eric Gordon with all the room we have.

Payton doesn't land Serge Ibaka. Payton after this past season lands a can of Surge. They sold high on Dipo's strong finish after all the playoff pressure was done.

Vuc put up 19 and 12 season before last, and they just found a perfect compliment.

Oladipo is more Dion Waiters than James Harden.

They added about 5 million between Oladipo and the dead money for Ilyasova (assuming they didn't keep him) but don't have to pay a 1st rounder. So they have about 41 mil committed, 5.7 on Fourniers cap hold and Dedmon at 1.2 makes it about 48. So about 46 left for FA assuming they renounce Jennings, Nicholson and everyone else.

This rebuild has been about versatility. He will play both depending on need.
