There is one aspect of acquiring Kidd that we haven't thought of yet. There's no way that Brian Hill is going to start screaming at Kidd and the way he runs the team. JKidd would tell him where to stick it.

It makes sense for the Suns but not the clippers. If we can trade Turk and Diener and get Maggette then by all means do it. I just don't think Elgin Baylor is stupid enough to do that.

I'm not ready to give up on Jameer. I want to see what he can do in a more uptempo offense. If my Brian Hill voodoo doll works we should see it soon.

Realgm isn't the most reliable source. You're right that's a pretty good deal for Memphis especially if Boston throws in their first rounder.

With all of our injuries at the two and three spots(dooling, hill, ariza) bringing in a young, athletic guy like wright would make a lot of sense for the Magic.
Ariza and Dooling will be back soon. Plus, we are talking about signing someone like Carter in the offseason. Even if we dont go after a big name like Carter Otis will still sign a 2 guard. Meanwhile we have very little depth after Dwight, Darko and Battie. It doesn't make sense to trade for another perimeter player. Besides I've seen Wright play several times this season and I wasn't impressed.

I'm not sure how I feel, I don't know what the heck we have with JJ. On the other hand Ray is 32 and is a great shooter and a pretty good passer but weak on D. Absolutely Marc, I would do it in a hearbeat with no questions asked. To answer your question about Richardson in the other thread...as long as the Magic doctors examine his knee and its fine I would make that trade as well.

How in the hell could you possibly know that JJ would be better? Ray Allen is one of the top 10 shooting guards in the league and JJ has barely played.

Thanks for the updates, Fendi. Its nice to see how our new big man is progressing. He should fit in nicely with Battie on our bench.

Battie still has at least 3 good years in him. Gortat probably is the very long term replacement but I like the idea of two quality big men that can come into the game to spell Dwight and Darko. Especially if its true that Gortat can jump higher than Dwight. I have to see that to believe it.

He would be a lottery pick if available in next years draft. The Magic stole him from the Suns.

I didn't expect Duke to dominate this year because we are way too young. I wish we would beat the Florida States though. I'm proud of the way that the Dukies performed last night, they did a good job against a superior team.
