Magic Release Orlando Magic Mobile App

I would have went with the phrase, "come to your home and chuck your phone" but still, well done sir. -
The Nuggets received a bunch of roleplayers with limited to no upside and a very valuable draft pick. Not a bad return but not anywhere close to equal value. If the Knicks could make that trade today for the exact same pieces they would do so in a heartbeat. In hindsight, I bet the Nuggets hold out for a better deal. The Jazz trade is closer to equal value primarily due to the fact that Favors still has some upside left. If he develops into a good big man then that trade ends up pretty good for them. As of now though, Deron Williams is better than Favors and a couple of picks. The Magic received a 22 year old center that is averaging a double double, a shooting guard that is playing at an allstar level, a young player with some upside, shed Jason Richardson, Chris Duhon, and Earl Clarks salaries, and got 3 first round picks. To steal a line from Bill Simmons, if that package was offered to the Rockets today for Dwight Howard, they probably wouldn't trade Dwight but they would hold a 3 hour meeting to discuss it.

Someone posted a quote from Chad Ford during one of his chats in the trade thread in which he suggested the Magic trade Afflalo and Tobias Harris for Greg Monroe and Rodney Stuckey. I have a hard time taking anyone seriously when they suggest the Magic should have traded for Bledsoe when they immediately follow up that idea with this awful trade scenario.

I read her emails all the time, trust me when I tell you that she definitely uses a larger font.

Hennigan came as close as a GM ever has to getting equal value when trading a superstar player. Some hypothetical trade scenario that Chad Ford has created - without including all of the details, like whether the Clippers were asking for a draft pick or something - does little to change my opinion on the subject. Also, since the article is about effective tanking, it should be noted that everyone assumed that Phoenix was fully committed to tanking when the season began. The fact that they are overachieving makes for a fun story until you realize that they stand no shot of beating anyone in a playoff series AND they have the misfortune of being better than they should be prior to one of the most talented draft classes in years. Unless you believe that Bledsoe is the type of player that can be a difference maker in the playoffs, then Hennigan probably made the right move in waiting on moving Afflalo. I would NOT take Bledsoe over Jabari Parker. Finally, I think we can all agree that Afflalo has done nothing but help his trade value over the past couple of months. I fail to see a mistake here.

I think you need to use a larger font. People over the age of a hundred won't be able to read it.

Trade our entire roster for Lebron James. Trade Lebron James for top 7 pick. :creaturedance:

I'm not so sure that this season is a fluke for Afflalo. He's not forcing shots. He's been getting quality looks....and he's a quality defender. He's an absolute steal at his current salary. I'm all for trading him if a great offer comes along but I don't think there should be any rush. Not that I'm worried about it. After the Howard and JJ trades, Hennigan could trade my mother for future cash considerations and I will be convinced that it is for the best.

Maybe we can find a middle ground between Hakeem-like and a seizure. I'll go with really impressive footwork for an 18 year old center. It's pretty rare to find a center that young with good footwork.
-
The play clearly wasn't intended to go to Baby. It was supposed to go to Afflalo running off Davis' screen but the Thunder shut down that option.
-
Or the Celtics and Nuggets.

Your expectations are too high if you are embarrassed after a loss. This team isn't very good and Cleveland is better.

Ah, back in the days when every Magic loss could, and was, blamed on fatigue. -
The only thing worse than Perkins contract is his game. I don't think there is a team in the league that would trade for him, unless a pick was included to sweeten the deal.

I do not understand why certain people want to miss out on the outstanding players at the top of this draft for the sake of playing .500 basketball. It's as if they haven't seen a college basketball game this season.
-
That was surprisingly decent.

I'm not so sure. The only player that was keeping the Knicks from being a horrific defensive team is out for at least a month. They have an old roster full of shoot first, defend never guys and a couple of Chandler replacements that can't play consecutive games. Even if Anthony plays the best basketball of his career - and he's not playing well at all - it wouldn't surprise me at all if the Knicks miss the playoffs.
-
I don't think there is any chance that we will finish 5th in the East.
-
Continue have him come off the bench?
-
They say something alright but its not a message I would be proud of.

Shout out to all of the veterans of this board.

Nick Anderson: Greatest Magic Player Of All Time

I would settle for a player playing 6 or 7 seasons with multiple all-star games and actually leaving on good terms. Dwight would most definitely have had his jersey retired here if he had simply played out his contract without complaint and then signed with another team. He clearly was willing to take a pay cut to play with a different team.....why couldn't he do that here?
