This may sound extremely far-fetched, but could Van Gundy be playing Garrity to try and up his trade value. I know that all Garrity really is is an expiring contract and nothing more, but he would be more valuable to a team if he could give a little to the team for the short time he spends there other than cap space. Just an idea pulled out of the wilderness.

Turk was a 20 point threat last season as well, just lacked consistency. If this is the consistency showing its glorious first moments, this will be a good season. Rashard did next to nothing in the last half, which is disappointing for a $118 million dollar player. I hope this is just one of those "teething problems". Dwight is looking pretty good, as usual. Could be a bit better though. Teamwork in the last 14-16 minutes was pretty good. Hoping for more of that this season. When Jameer finds his shot, we'll have the point guard we need. I don't believe that he is as bad as people say he is. His field goal % has sucked so far and his assists were low tonight but other than that his numbers were ok. He has shown that he can get a decent number of assists, it's just doing it consistently that's the problem. Don't know what's going on with his FG%. Just remember though, PG is the most difficult position to develop into, so just cut the guy a little more slack. Not too happy with JJ's restricted minutes. We could be looking at a repeat of last season there. Why did Garrity play for 7 mins yet Augustine and JJ had yet another DNP on the stat sheet? Looks like Stan the Man knows who he wants to be our point guards. Arroyo's future in blue isn't looking to good right now, but it is early in the season. Good game tonight anyway. Woo we're 2-1.

I'm hoping for many more like that. And that Jameer's assists manage to stay that way. I know it's a bit early to get excited, but I think Jameer may just play like a starting PG this year.

Nice by Arroyo. Now we just need that kind of thing all of the time. Just what we're looking for.

PG - Tony Parker SG - Kevin Martin G - Steve Francis SF - Andrei Kirilenko PF - David Lee F - Carmelo Anthony FC - Marcus Camby C - Dwight Howard UTL - Nene Hilario Bench - Mike Dunleavy, Boris Diaw, Channing Frye, Ben Wallace, Tyson Chandler. Not the best lineup ever but I won't do to badly. Having Francis in my starting lineup probably won't work out well but we'll wait and see. Camby and Dwight should be pretty helpful with blocks and rebounds. I'm still wondering how I managed to snag Melo, Dwight and Parker without any trades.

This is one thing you don't ever want a rookie to have to go through. All of this hype and now he might not have a chance to prove himself. I hope he recovers quickly and manages to play the same as he did before the injury.
