No chance it was Henny. He says all the right things all the time. It is kinda cool to see a GM admit something like that though. Everyone knows a handful of teams are tanking as hard as possible to enter the Wiggins Sweepstakes. We didn't have the worst team in basketball last year but Hennigan made sure it ended up that way. He'll find a way to get us in the top 3 picks again. Guy is a genius.

I just thought we were getting a go to scorer who would take it to the hole with no problems and be such a huge play maker for the team and he is not. You almost have to have someone make a play for him (i know its not true but sometimes it seems that way). I thought once we got him that we would throw it into howard, if they doubled him get it out to vince and then it was game over and I was wrong. So I guess thats why im pretty hard on the guy. He is playing well this year and hopefully he can keep it up all year and keep playing like that when it counts, in the playoffs.

The guy averaged 21, 5, 5 the year before he came here lol. The year before that 21, 6, 5. A decline from there shouldn't go straight to 16 ppg from 21. At 25 years old he averaged 21, 4, 3. Of course the guy is gonna decline from 27, and 24 a game but down to 16? I just am shocked by it, I just thought he was a better player than we got.

You are right then. I would much rather see him average 15 a game being this effective. BUT IT WON'T HAPPEN. Those numbers to this point are a joke and so inflated but I understand where you are coming from, I am just talking from a season output with non-inflated numbers he should score more than 15-16 a game with his skills.

stars don't have "some bad years and some good years" every year it should be a good year. He was not 36 last year, he was 32 which is technically still his prime and it should be a slow decrease from there. But if we can come to the agreement that hes not a star player than ok i guess you're right, maybe i was wrong assuming he was a star.

18 and 19 are also involved in my statement. So if Vince were to average 18 points per game that would be a problem? k... All I am saying is with Vince's talent he should average that.

First of all wanted to say thank you for the circle around 2010-2011 I wasn't sure what year it was. Second of all Vince Carter is averaging 15, 4, 3. You can't ask for much more from a guy unless he is named Lebron? ok. Yea yea yea look at his advanced statistics, those are so biased because it has only been 6 games, theres no reason that guy shouldn't average 18-20 points a game 4+ rebounds 4+ assists (the stats that really matter for a guy like vince). Well actually there is a reason because he is a declining "star" that gets hurt every game but still. Advanced Statistics are extremely hard to judge. You point out he has a higher ORtg than Wade? Wow you think thats really going to last? Give me a break. His career avg for ORtg is 109 and is currently a 123 so you're getting ahead of yourself don't you think? we all know thats not going to keep up or be close. And WS/48 is a crap shoot, last year on a very good magic team his rating for the whole season was .154, this year its .267 you think thats going to keep up?? Not a chance. Glad to hear you like Vince but he has a lot to do to make up to magic fans for his poor season last year.

right there with you, I think we over paid Duhon but whatever he is a decent pack up pg which is what we need plus we have him for the next 4 years. As for Richardson, I would of rather let stanley robinson take his minutes he is a declining player who latches on to a different team every two years and there is a reason he switches teams so often.

there is not one team in the NBA that will be able to match up to the heat. No one in the world could stop Lebron James when he had no one around him. Now he has Wade and Bosh. You can never run a double team at Lebron, Bosh, or Wade. No one on our team can stop or slow down Lebron or Wade. Bosh won't be the problem, the problem is he is still an all star and with Lebron and Wade penetrating whenever they want, whenever the slightest help comes dish to one of those other 2 and its a wide open shot. The entire NBA is in trouble. One can only hope that they break down over a long series and a long season and then still probably need some luck on their side. :(

If I were Otis, I would trade Vince Carter for James Harden and a ice cold Pepsi. Oh yea and I would ask the team to throw in a bag of ice for Carters knees for the plane ride.

Barnes could not guard point guards, but yet SVG put him on Rondo at points in the playoff series against Boston, BUT YOUR RIGHT he can't guard point guards. QRich can spread the floor??? great but thats not what our team needs everyone else on the court will spread the floor, Cater, Redick, Nelson, Lewis, Anderson, Pietrus, Williams, etc etc etc, thats why Barnes slashing was so valued. Ill give you that Duhon is better than Williams but its not that far off AT ALL. Remember Duhon's got 31 minutes a game last year, 7.4 ppg 5.6 apg. Williams 20 minutes a game, 6.0 ppg 3.6 apg. Williams probably would of had better numbers if he got the same minutes as Duhon. Richardson was a starter last year also, his numbers will drop a lot as well.
