The Ryan Anderbads

Let met get this straight before I answer this. Stan Van Gundy has been a good coach. BUT he has not been great. He is the best available right now, he knows this team better than anyone else. Now, what I am concerned about is whether Stan can lead us to a championship. Not getting us to the finals, not getting past the ECF, but actually winning a championship. As I said earlier, our run to the finals in 08-09 was arguably one of the easiest routes to the NBA finals we could have ever dreamed for. I don't know how much credit SVG can be given for that. Let me talk about something else regarding "records". Doc Rivers was considered by most a "mediocre" coach by the majority of the orlando fan-base and of course management as well. He went on to win a ring with Boston and is now regarded as a "great" coach. Let me ask you this then, is Doc Rivers a great coach or are the players MAKING him a great coach?

SVG's record speaks for itself? So...Mike Brown is a great coach? Avery Johnson is a great coach? Brian Hill went 60-22 with the Magic in one season? Is he a great coach? I could go on and on with coaches with great records that don't have a RING. Sometimes....the PLAYERS make the coach. If not all the time. That's quite a bold statement to say that a record speaks for itself. Astonishing actually. You are underselling Gortat's true skill just like SVG. Go watch some Polish national team videos and understand what kind of footwork and post moves this guy has. He has the "potential" to be a good offensive weapon is what I'm saying...and we didn't even try. If you are accepting Gortat reached his "peak" as an offensive player with us by running around setting screens and the rare dunk/put back... then I'm astonished as well.

The reason why I'm asking some of these questions is not because I think our season is"over" I'm more-so just concerned of the future of the Magic if we do not at least meet expectations this year. Winning a championship is the expectation of the players/coaches/management but I don't think this squad is CHAMPIONSHIP bound right now. We are a bit banged up and will probably make one more move so we could get back into championship form very quickly but this past week or so have been hard games too watch, even the games we have won besides the Cleveland game.

A play was called. Why would JRich be subbed out if a play wasn't called? Why is Jrich even being subbed out period?

I'ver never been so pissed with a final shot than Ryan Anderson hoisting yet another 3 while JJ is sitting calmly in the corner waiting for the ball. Ryan Anderson had an aboslutely TERRIBLE game. Earl Clark gets the nod starting at the 4 over Ryan, until Ryan PROVES he can actually MAKE shots when he is in the starting lineup because apparently he only makes them when he is a bench player. Jameer didn't play agressive until the last 5 minutes. Hedo was non-existent. J Rich chucked too much, I like it when he drives. Nobody passed dwight the ball at all in the second half. Stan Van Gundy drew up a play for Ryan Anderson? When has he EVER hit a clutch shot!!!!!!!??????? Why isn't JRICH getting the play call or jameer????? People that have proven they can hit big shots????? The whole team is at fault for this loss including SVG. We need to make a trade for a big man. Dwight playing 50 minutes every game is going to hurt is in the playoffs. Otis, make a damn trade already.

Not a must win but an important game that could boost us for the rest of the season and be looked back on as a "confidence booster" win come playoff time. I lol'ed at "ban me"

How can a girl have so much hate for a poor little guy like jameer? :mellow:

1. Someone besides dwight needs to step up and have a big game. 2. JRICH needs to match or outproduce wade 3. Jameer needs 7+ assists 4. Hedo just needs to not play as bad as he has the last 5 games. 5. Force them to shoot jumpers. 6. Win

Going to the game. I expect all OMMB members to lose their voice with me. If we get this win, I think we start a very long win streak.

This better be the loudest game of the season, until we play LA here.

I think SVG might be missing out on someone who COULD and very well CAN help us RIGHT NOW. Earl Clark has potential. I don't think anyone disagrees with that and SVG has openly said in one of his postgame interviews that " Earl has the potential to be a great player in this league." So, what exactly is the holdup here? Why are we not experimenting with him in our rotation more? He actually did a fantastic job in his very first game with us just playing with great energy and defense! Why not put him behind Hedo in our rotation? Now that bass is out for awhile I expect SVG to put Clark behind Anderson at the 4. If he puts Malik(who has no upside anymore) as our backup 4 then I think SVG is missing on a great opportunity to get Earl some playing time and get comfortable with the team. I think SVG failed really hard last year in the boston series last year by not using Bass in our rotation behind Lewis from the beginning of the series. I love SVG but he needs to learn from the few mistakes that he has made here.

That lineup is pretty bad. Anderson should get the nod over artest at the 4 if he remains here if this "possible" trade happens. It should be something like this: Jameer/Artest/Hedo/Anderson/Dwight I see people abandon Jameer after one or two bad games faster then any other player on our team. Since you are not listing jameer as our starting PG I'm assuming you want him part of the Artest trade. Arenas still has proven nothing to me that he can run our offense better than jameer OR even play better defense than jameer. If Jameer/Anderson are apart of this trade then Otis will have been caught with his pants down and I would list it as probably one of the worst trades in Magic history.

14th prestige black ops 2.3k/d If anyone has XBL I recommend trying out Crysis2. It is a free multiplayer demo, just search game demos and Crysis2 should be one of the top featured ones. It is quite fun if you are a halo/cod player or something of that sort. Took about 30 minutes to download the demo for me. Only problem is that it IS a demo so it is quite laggy. Next game I will be playing: Brink(comes out this spring)

We need rest. The all star break will give us that. Nobody should be panicking until late march if we continue to lose like this.

Saw some good things tonight. Still the same problem of not getting the ball to dwight when he is playing well. Not a big deal of a loss, back to back and had 3 players out with injurys tonight. We will compete with miami but im predicting a loss in that as well. I don't see us getting things together until after the all star break, very much like last year.
