The best day in the history of NCAA Football will be this year.

Seriously, that might be the worst of the bolded games. Good game, but on a Saturday like this, it doesn't compare. I mean, Bama-Penn State?!? FSU-Oklahoma?!? Oregon-Tennessee?!? Heck, Michigan-Notre Dame might be a better game. What? I'm a Miami fan, and while I agree that from a national standpoint it's not the best of the games, I'm wondering how a game like FSU-OU is so much better that it "doesn't compare"? Either way, it's definitely an awesome slate.

    Strength of schedule

We've also played more road games than any other team. I like how our road record vs. the rest of the league's overall record puts us at #2 in the league. And put it against everyone else's home record and we only drop to #6. No big deal. quote: ClevelandLA (lakers) portland houston miami golden state new york sacramento minnisota and seattle Its also good to point out that several of these teams have had the benefit of playing us to boost their score. Silly me, I looked through this list wondering which teams had beaten us...
  5. quote: Originally posted by Nell2ThaIzzay:how can we be a league best when boston still has a higher win percentage than us? is it JUST based on the number of wins? It just goes by each team's W-L record, but taking into account the number of total games each team has played. If every team had played the same amount of games then it would go by win%.

    1st round pick...Miami

A shame so few saw this great game Mike Bianchi | SPORTS COMMENTARY 11:17 PM EDT, October 31, 2007 "What a scene. What a show. The arena was packed. The team was pumped. Rashard Lewis shot it like a man who's playing for a max contract, not somebody who just got one. The fans? They came dressed as monsters. And Dwight Howard? He played like one. What a scene. What a show. And what a shame you didn't get to see it." http://www.orlandosentinel.com/orl-bianchi0107nov01,0,3...oll=orl_tab01_layout I work in Celebration and we've got Comcast there, so I didn't miss the opener as I was called in to work last night. But I live over by UCF where I've got BH and I'm sure I will miss a good number of weekend FSN games if this doesn't get sorted out soon.

    A-Rod opts out of contract

"Rodriguez opts out of $252 million, 10-year contract with Yankees Associated Press Updated: October 28, 2007, 11:30 PM ET DENVER -- Alex Rodriguez opted out of his $252 million, 10-year contract with the Yankees on Sunday in what appears to be the end of his career with New York. Rodriguez's decision, announced by agent Scott Boras during Game 4 of the World Series, makes him eligible to become a free agent. Rodriguez loses the final $72 million in guaranteed salary in the contract, of which $21.3 million was to be covered by payments from the Texas Rangers to the Yankees, and becomes eligible for free agency. New York had said it would not attempt to re-sign A-Rod if he opted out." http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=3084640

Darius Rice - does any one know about him

Jerry Rice's nephew. I saw a lot of him back in college at Miami, so I'll use what I remember. He's basically another Rashard. A lean 6'10" SG/SF/PF (in college anyway) who can shoot and play inside-outside basketball. He was clutch too. One moment that sticks out in my mind from him was the UConn @ Miami game his senior year. UConn was top 5 at the time, and the Canes were down 4 with probably 10 secs left, inbounding from their own baseline. He took the inbound pass, drove the length of the court and layed it in with maybe 4 secs left. Then he tipped the UConn inbound pass towards the corner, got it right before it went out of bounds, turned around and nailed the 3 at the buzzer. It was unbelievable. Junior year stat line: http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaab/teams/mav/stats?year=2002 Senior year stat line: http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaab/teams/mav/stats?year=2003 A bunch of D-Rice related D-League videos: http://videosearch.nba.com/search/?sp_a=sp10038c44&sp_f...k=wmvasf&sp_q=dakota And for what it's worth, he set a D-League record by scoring 52 points in the championship game to lead his team to a title.

Chris Sheridan... You got it coming.

Because when I try to pick who will be the best basketball team, I look no further then how each GM pays his players.

USF were robbed i disagree...now granted, i didnt watch the whole game (ALCS was on...and im a UCF fan...what do you think im gonna watch???) i think Rutgers outplayed USF and Grothe made a couple of big mistakes towards the end... but...im a UCF fan...and youre a USF fan...so we're both biased...so neither of our opinions count...lawl... The only problem I had with the refs was the fumble/forward lateral play. I didn't think that was reviewable because unless it's a quarterback throwing motion you can't tell if he's intentionally tossing it forward or actually fumbling, and any "judgement calls" aren't reviewable. As for the interference call at the end of the game.. yeah, I hated it, but why did he even put his arms out and give the ref a reason to throw the flag? He had the space as it was and could have made the catch regardless. Also, I don't think the refs had anything to do with them getting a huge gain on a punt fake and a touchdown on a field goal fake. Not to mention our offense had 3 drives starting either at midfield or in Rutgers territory. On those drives combined we managed 3 points. Unacceptable. The good news is that the Big East is still up for grabs, but we'll probably need to win out.
