  1. How many have signed the petition already? Anyone know?
  2. Enough of this. I'm signing it now. All this talk about Ariza being our core and Hill doesn't get him off the bench? He should've been the first one off. Detroit went into a zone defense and JJ didn't even get one lick of playing time even when we needed a shot in the 4th?! Darko playing like a puppet with strings. He should be taking jumpers from outside especially with zone defense and instead he just gets his points with his back to the basket?! Thats it. I want Hill out of here. If Otis does that, I think that will be better then any trade we could've done.
  3. Everyone should call fan relations and rant their asses off. Number is 407-916-2400. I'm in the process of calling them now.
  4. Chad is on a roll. league GMs: Why dont most of us relize that to build a championship team you have to make deals and actively tweak your roster. Chad Ford: (12:57 PM ET ) There's some truth to what you say. Look at the Pistons in 2004 when they made the bold move of getting Rasheed Wallace. Lots of us criticized it, but it put them over the top. The Heat went through a major overhaul in the summer of 2005 and win it all in 2006. I think that too many GMs are risk adverse. They play it safe with the status quo and tell everyone that they tried to make a deal but couldn't. To me the best GMs are the ones that roll the dice. If I owned a team, I'd want a GM who was bold enough to take a chance at greatness instead of milling around at just about .500 every year. If you look at the best GMs in the league ... Joe Dumars, Donnie Walsh, Jerry West ... they aren't afraid to make a big deal and their teams are usually better off for it.

Maybe they have free agent plans for the extra cap space? or still think they can resign Carter? I can picture Thorn laughing his *** off right now. "You like your team huh Otis. ROFLMAO. Nice talking to ya" and then proceeding to trade him to NY or someone else in the East and NY getting our playoff seed.
  6. <Sigh>. This is crazy ****. I just wanna go down there and knock their door down and go on a rant.

They're telling Otis to trade Darko, Turk, and JJ for Vince. HELL NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Did Otis call Vince "fools gold"?! It was a very general statement about everything that was being tossed around about the possible trades. It wasn't specific to Vince! In fact it sounded more as if he was pandering to Thorn or the other GM's that attempt to read into him. IMO Did he say anything else about Vince? Man, I hate this. I just wanna see "VC has been traded to Orlando!".

If he says that he is not making a trade after everything I know and watching the Magic play last night, I will offically quit this board and become a Knicks fan! I'm not even bothering with it. He'll say "Like I said before. I fully expect this to be our team come Friday. I like this team and uhhh, I just don't see a deal going down."

"The team that we have on the floor is the team that we'll have on Friday," Magic GM Otis Smith said last night at the Garden. Asked how certain he was, Smith said, "Ninety-nine-point-nine. Is that good enough?" http://www.newsday.com/sports/basketball/ny-spkidd21510...basketball-headlines More tightlippedness (sp?) from OS? Or foreshadowing quote? I guess we find out in a matter of hours..... Why not just say 100%? ****...I hate reading stuff like this. Cheer up MagicMan, this just Otis being a GM. Would it be smart if he came out and said, "Some players won't be on this team on Friday"? Then all hell would break loose. I don't read anything into this other than there are some things in place. 25 hrs and counting... No which is why I still leave a little hope because he didn't say "100% certain". He just keeps messing with my emotions lol. If he does pull it off, hes a **** good bluffer.

Me too, I was getting ready to catch Vinsanity and now it seems him coming here is less and less likely. But this may end up a blessing in disguise with a delayed reward. We don't lose any part of our young core. Sometimes you have to thank God for unanswered prayers. Honestly, I'm getting tired of hearing about our "young core". Its so overstated that I almost get sick everytime I read or hear the word now. I mean yeah, we got a "young core". Great. We are also lacking a SG. Theres none available in the FA outside of VC and we don't have any picks. We are also on the verge of being ousted from the playoffs once again. Young core is great, I want to IMPROVE.

  13. I have not heard or read about Brian Hill not wanting Carter anywhere except from Magicman28. I even listened to Buchner on 1080 am this morning and didn't hear that. I want a 2nd source to confirm that this is actually true. I don't blame you. Theres got to be someone else who heard it. It was on NBA Coast to Coast last night on ESPN2.
  14. Well, I can't give you inside information of it being true but Ric Bucher did in fact say this. I would like to see what Future and MC say about this.
  15. Yes, Ric Bucher did say this. It was on Coast to Coast. Why would I want to make this crap up? If true, I want Hill out of here.
  16. Ric Buecher and Mark Stein were both on ESPN Coast to Coast and Ric said that the only team that has offered anything is the Clippers. They offered Cassell, Mobley and Maggette but in the last few minutes offered Livingston instead of Cassell. Ric said to forget about the Orlando rumors because Brian Hill does not want to coach Vince Carter. What is this crap? Where do they get this from?
  17. Ric Bucher was just on Sportscenter and said that the Clippers is the "likely" destination for VC and hes not hearing any other deals really being discussed with VC.
