I'd like to see you get Gay Arenas and Butler. We could trade VC and Pietrus with a 1st to Memphis. Trade Gortat and Anderson for Butler. Then finish up by signing arenas if he is bought out and we would be set. Nelso/Arenas/Dp Butler/JJ/Arenas Gay/Barnes Lewis/Bass/vet Howard/vet/Dp We could sign J.O'neil and maybe Amir Johnson

PPL say that some power forwards will not allow Dwight to grow offensively or get in the way but to me carter is the example of a player holding another player back. JJ has had some break out games and moments while vince struggles. I haven't seen a ton of magic games due to livng in va but the national tv games vince stinks the court up while JJ comes in and does nothing but produce time after time.

I watched the boston game and it was like watching the lewis from back in the day! Sweet lew was driving to the basket and it seemed like the team flowed better when he attacked the basket instead of settling for those long contested 3pt shots.

I'm not sure other ppl feel this way but I strongly. believe turk needs us just as much as we need him. The shots turk take is bc we have dwight to cover his butt and the assist he gets is bc we have very good shooters. I understand he wants to get paid but paying him 10 mil on this team where on any giving night he can be just an average player is not going to happen. If I was gm and I'd sign and trade him sacarmento and bring in younger guys through the trade and free agency. If we get a pick/young pg to back up nelson and a young small for turk and then use the mle to get Channing Frye and Rasheed Wallace we would be even better.

To Boozer would be perfect but I really believe a guy like Okur could excel in our system. He is 6'11 and can shot from all over the court. Could you imagine a pick'n'roll with Okur and Nelson that would be sick. When Dwight and Hedo run it I think it puts us at a disadvantage rebounding wise bc our best rebounder is 20 some feet away from the rim. Also in the draft I think we should get Donte Cunningham from Nova. He's a senior and can do the same thing Okur does but with a little more toughness and could give our bench a good inside presence Which would allow guys like JJ and Piterus to shot easier 3pt shots

I like the idea of trying to trade turk to move up like boston did bc honestly turk aint got much left. Watching him try to get to the rim is very redundant. Its dribble right 2times then crossover slowly left only to get a foot behind the 3pt line and chuck up a shot. I really like Okur's style of play bc it is totally different from dwight and we could use Okur to pick and pop and have dwight under the basket waiting on the shot or pass. I'm 100% sure we can make it to the finals but another season of 2 small fowards might have SVG looking for a job

Let's package Hedo Lue JJ and Cook! For Butler Critt and Songila or whatever big they wanna send back. They get a combined 15 mil or so in cap space and we get a lot better!

Man watching turk play is getting harder and harder to stomach! PPL ***** about how players in the league are black holes well sorry to say this but guy is the president. If turk aint got it going offensively from the jump he aint gone bring jack **** to the table. We complain about team chemistry and how new players will destroy it but I'm willing to bet players are getting sick of turks crap. I love the magic but *** we don't do anything to get better unless it falls in our laps (ex worst record= dwight howard and 118mil= lew). I mean come on otis you claim to love our team as is but if you resign turk in 2yrs we're gone get crushed by every team in our division and you won't be sayin oh I love our team as is then. I understand being loyal and all that good stuff but being loyal gone have you jobless! Get creative take a few young guys for turk and let's keep it moving a core of lewis howard and nelson can win a chip with the right role players. We got defenders and shooters now all we need to do is get tough and more athletic. I BELIEVE IN MAGIC!

IMO I'd trade turk for several young prospects or a younger foward that's locked up for a few years that can get it done on both ends of the floor. Turk is 30 yrs old and is the worst defender that plays major mins heck I'd say he's right up there with cookie on the defensive end. I've seen wally and caron absoultely rap turk! caron 30 in a HALF and wally 13 or 15 in a quater. I know turk does a lot offensivly but come on this guy aint a 60 mil dollar player and I think otis will see that and trade turk in the next 30hrs

Good Morning everyone this whole injury situation is just poor management IMO and shows you can't beat around the bush if you got a need address it. Smith has done a great job and has built a chip team from th ground up. Now to me a trade for beno is a no brainer! We all know we are going to use the mle next year to go after a Pf or Pg and with this trade it means we addressed the need half a season early. To be able to stay out of the Lux tax I think you gotta dive in head first and put some ppl in the seats. By adding beno we can stock pile fowards and centers with our picks bc let's face it we suck upfront and this injury could easliy be superman not might mouse. I'm not bashing otis bc the guy is putting O-town back on the map but come on O-daddy move some of them expirings and ADDRESS needs!

Sorry I'm not good with numbers but another idea i was thinking about was CDR and Williams for Bogans/Cookie/maybe wilks or richardson and a first. CDR is a 3rd string point and we were very high on him I believe and even though williams is a nut case he could be our Wallace and provide that extra toughness!

I know I'm going to get the 3rd degree on this one but how bout bogans/cook and whatever for williams and simmons? Williams is 6'10 or 6'11 and can match up with KG and Wallace and simmons is a tough defender that can easily guard pierce or whoever. Any thoughts?

Channing Frye is just the type of Big we need! He can space the floor and hit jumpers also providing a little bit of rebounding. He is the direct opposite of Battie who is more of a defensive player. I believe he's making 3.5 mil and with the miles situation in memphis portland will need to add talent with picks and expirings. So Bogans and whoever and the T.E for Frye and sergio makes since to me win-win for both squads. We get a 1-4 and the get cap space and a extra draft pick

Since portland is pretty much in the lux tax could we use our TE to pick up Frye?
