Don't want to enter the discussion as it's really complex and with multiple possibilities, but.. I can tell you both, living in Italy, that you've a

    - Reaction was really not that bad in Italy (consider that I'm usually highly critical of politics and decision.makers here), a lot of measures and the complete block of the Milan zone were taken quite rapidly, when people was still not understanding the problem. I'm actually more worried about the lack, of slow reaction of other european countries, and USA too in part, that had the "luck" to not being hit first (being the precursors it's always harder, you've less data and knowledge) and still were not that fast to get ready. The numbers now says that Italy is a big problem and a big focus, but that's just because was hit first. Unfortunately, I expect worst numbers in other countries that are already ahead of Italy curve (comparing the time-difference)

    - The medical system in Italy it's one of the few things that still works well, and more than that, it's still open and free for everyone. I was actually more worried about you USA friends that have a different system in which is necessary to pay for some things, when the virus was still not a problem in your territory.  Hospital system is overwhelmed in zones where the virus hit the most, but that’s quite normal when a ton of people get sick in a very short time. It’s perfectly normal in the other zones. There’s really no indication that the smoking factor is a direct issue, but even if it’s, the difference between & of smokers in USA and Italy it’s not that big, and there’re a lot of nations that have a lot more smokers than Italy, and that could be in trouble soon.

Must be nice having taxes going to something that helps everybody instead of “defense” contractors’ new yachts.

jec: Did you hear Frusciante rejoined the Peppers? (I'm sure you probably did). I saw them in concert back in the mid 00s when he was still in the band; I'll probably try to see them again when all this coronavirus stuff ends. They were a great band to see live.

Yeah they’re working on a new album. I liked the last two just fine but they’re nothing compared to Stadium Arcadium. Hopefully they can recapture some of that magic.

This is pure speculation, but have been following for quite some time. We should be going off the fiat currency system where the Fed just prints money. We have to  have a backing of our currency with gold and possibly natural elements. Bottom line is we can’t keep printing money that is constantly devaluing. That’s why a sub cost $10.00 now. It will have to be backed like it was in 1971 when Nixon was in office and we were on the gold standard. We are the reserve currency of the world where countries have to exchange in our money to buy certain goods (energy ect.); that’s probably going away. I’m not an expert on this stuff, but have common sense.

We would just have to arbitrarily inflate the value of gold to compensate for not printing money. Inflation is inevitable

I believe we are restructuring the Fed, (back to gold standard) prosecuting Pedophiles and human traffickers. We will be addressing the mockingbird media soon and yes the politicians whom have committed Tyranny.

Goggle has relaxed their algorithms so things should be better for transparency as of yesterday or the day before. The people will soon see the truth. You can all call me a kook, but wait 2 months before you do so.

Gold standard? You know gold’s worth is arbitrary just like the dollar.

This is a bad take and you usually don’t have those.

The degree to which it would spread without these suspension/cancellation/quarantining/social distancing measures would be disastrously worse than if they are implemented effectively.

Now if your argument is that we delayed too long to stop the train, I’m not sure I can argue with you there.

It spreads so easily and people have to work. I just don’t think these mass closings just delay the inevitable

Hahaha! Ain't it a hoot? So funny, jec.  :)

I hope the way we won these last 2 games in spite of *clears throat*, sends a message a change needs to be made.

As the lyrics to the song A Change Is Gonna Come goes:

"It's been a long, long time coming
But I know, but I know, a change is gotta come"

It’s only been 2 games but yeah you might be right

Why is D.J.  cutting into Fultz minutes?  I am tired of Clifford going to veterans so he can be mediocre and get sorry teams to the playoffs.  He did this in Charlotte.  Besides the growth of Fultz, Isaac, and Bamba  improved play.  What is good about this season?  Next year Brooklyn will get KD back and there will be 7 teams much better then us!

There are still way too many unknowns to say all that

First round picks aren't that better lol, maybe we just suck at drafting

    • 2005 - Fran Vazquez (#11)
    • 2006 - JJ Redick (#11)
    • 2007 -
    • 2008 - Courtney Lee (#22)
    • 2009 -
    • 2010 - Daniel Orton (#29)
    • 2011 -
    • 2012 - Andrew Nicholson (#19)
    • 2013 - Victor Oladipo (#2)
    • 2014 - Aaron Gordon (#4), Dario Saric (#12)*/Elfrid Payton (#10)
    • 2015 - Mario Hezonja (#5)
    • 2016 - Domantas Sabonis (#11)*
    • 2017 - Jonathan Isaac (#6), Anzejs Pasecniks (#25)*
    • 2018 - Mohamed Bamba (#6)
    • 2019 - Chuma Okeke (#16)

In 2008 - Nicolas Batum, George Hill, and Serge Ibaka were all right after Courtney Lee.

In 2010 - Hassan Whiteside instead of Orton all day

In 2012 - Fournier was #20, but looking back hard to not notice Draymond at 35, Middleton at 39

In 2014 - Zach LaVine, Jusuf Nurkic were both taken shortly after #12

In 2015 - Did we think Hezonja was Luka? Myles Turner, Justise Winslow, Devin freakin Booker, Kelly Oubre,

In 2016 - Taurean Prince, Caris LaVert...or just not made that stupid trade and kept Dipo and Sabonis :(

In 2017 - could've picked Kyle Kuzma or Josh Hart

I get playing the "what-if game" doesn't help. But I think it does show a consistency in making bad decisions as an organization (multiple front offices since 2005) when it comes to drafting players.

Fran wasn’t our fault. Draymond is overrated. Redick, Lee, Oladipo, Fournier, Isaac and maybe Bamba are all good picks.

Yeah, I guess I’ve started to look at us and temper my expectations based on our record right now, not last season, not our playoff seeding. We’re 8 games under .500, We’re 4-26 against teams over .500, with the last win coming on January 15th. This team is just plain bad, so when I can judge them through that lens, I’d call tonight a good effort.

The fact that we beat up on bad teams means we’re above “plain bad” but it’s not enough to be a first round door mat.

Hahaha! You guys are too funny. Thanks for making me laugh. :)

I'm waiting for MagicOne's quip about the 'rusty seat under Kim Kardashian's. . .' or the team playing like an old 'rusty fold up chair on the beach.'

I'm hoping the Magic surprise us BIGLY , come away with a win, leaving that old rusty fold up chair on South Beach.

I hope so too but I feel like we’re gonna get smashed
