    NBA TV: Making the Call

I feel like they only pick the plays that they can somehow debunk or look like bad calls, but really aren't.

quote: You could say the same about FG%... We lost because the Lakers were better and knew how to play us. No, because one is uncontested. I am not saying the Lakers did not play better. However, we were our undoing by not capitalizing at the charity stripe. It could have easily been 3-1 the other way around. Most people forget how close the series really was. And not only that, I want to see how many we missed as oppose to our season average.

quote: Uh, he didn't even shoot 50% for the series. Don't think that has anything to do with free throws. 2 of the 4 games that were LOST went into overtime. Just one extra freethrow would have sealed the game. Come to think of it, the team sucked as a whole in freethrows that whole series. So technically, we were our own worst enemies.

No. But I am saying, He played below average for the series, and I'm sure at some point Bynum had to play defense on him. Typical ignorant Cavs fan. It was DWIGHT HOWARD that shut DWIGHT HOWARD down, by not knocking down his free throws.

    TIM LEGLER IS BACK!!!!

quote: The only way Magic can get there is if Carter, nelson and Lewis are playing well.. and if Stan actually coaches a game...which he barely does on a regular bases... complaining about every play and not subbing till the quarter is over.. doesnt count as coaching** And the Cavs can get there by just coasting to the finish line? They ALL have to play good too, including all-time choke artist Moe Williams, and I-Never-Show-Up-In-The-Playoffs-Antawn-Jamsion. And Mike Brown being a better coach than SVG? Please. Ask these Cav fans around here who they would rather be coaching their team. quote: SVG can out-coach Mike Brown by default. Don't underestimate the impact this will have on a series...and this is coming from a Cavs fan, fyi. Case and point.

    Is America really that Stupid?

I am pretty sure I have debunked every one of you're claims very thoroughly, so as of now, I am basically done talking to you about politics. It's a shame there are still people in the US who think Sarah Palin was a qualified candidate for VP. Anybody with an open-mind can see how fatally flawed and dishonest your arguments were. Well I guess I can't be surprised that your last post was full of ad-hominems (attacks about me personally), and my future job as a person who works to deal with cancer patients. Only a Palin supporter lol. Im out of this thread guys, have fun dealing with this dude who is praying for me and my patients. Too funny.

Palin lied when she wrote in the NYT that a comprehensive review by Alaska wildlife officials showed that polar bears were not endangered; in fact, email correspondence between those scientists showed the opposite. Palin lied when she claimed that Alaska produces 20 percent of the country's domestic energy supply; in fact, the actual figures, based on any interpretation of her words, are much, much lower. Palin lied when she suggested to Katie Couric that she was involved in trade missions with Russia; in fact, she has never even met with Russian officials. Palin lied when she insisted that the Branchflower Report "showed there was no unlawful or unethical activity on my part"; in fact, that report prominently stated, "Palin abused her power by violating Alaska Statute 39.52.110(a) of the Alaska Executive Branch Ethics Act." Palin lied when she mischaracterized the "$1200 check" given to Alaskans as the permanent fund dividend check; in fact, that fund had yielded $2,069 per person, and she claimed otherwise to obscure the fact that Alaskans also received a $1200 rebate check from a windfall profits tax on oil companies - a tax widely criticized by Republicans. Palin lied when she claimed to be unaware of a turkey being slaughtered behind her during a filmed interview; in fact, the cameraman said she had picked the spot herself, while the slaughter was underway. Palin lied when she announced on the news that she never holds closed-door meetings; in fact, she had just attended a closed-door meeting with the legislature earlier that day. Palin lied when she denied that the Alaska Independence Party supports secession and denied that her husband had been a member; in fact, even the McCain campaign noted that the party's very existence is based on secession and that Todd was a member for seven years. There are many more here, with links that provide proof of the assertion: http://andrewsullivan.theatlan...palin-a-roundup.html Osprey, you seriously need to take a break from FoxNews every now and then and do some independent research. It would serve you some good.

Please bro, you are being dishonest in your posts so try to man up and admit when you're wrong. quote: I never set a minimum ANYTHING. Go back and quote me where I said that. Reading comprehension FTL Here is what you said: what makes a senator (especially one with less than 7 years experience) more qualified to run the country? You are basically saying that a senator with LESS THAN 7 years experience is not qualified to run the country. Therefore, you are setting a minimum limit on how many years a person should serve before being able to qualify to become president. Also, ironic you're saying "reading comprehension for the loss" after you grossly misinterpreted what I wrote. quote: I'm not saying it is be-all-end-all to someone's electability etc. I did say that in the post you quoted, you know. Like I said, try to keep up. You are saying that she is more qualified than Obama because of her executive experience. When I turn that around on you to compare her to McCain, you know claim that you're not saying it's the be-all-end-all to someone's electability. It's hard to keep up when you keep producing as many gaffe's as Sarah Palin. quote: That "idiot" managed the highest approval ratings of any governor in the nation and cleaned up corruption in the Alaska legislature. I wish all politicians were that stupid. Of Alaska. You know what the population is over there?

quote: Originally posted by Osprey23:I posted a racist quote, and you threw up the straw man of "well Obama wouldn't have picked a racist VP". I was returning to my original point and not responding to your straw man. Learn the definition. Are you debating that the statement was not racist? Because that was my original argument. Yes, I debating that his comment was not meant to be racist. I think its kind of obvious you don't know what a straw-man is, judging from the posts like "WHAT DO YOU DO WITH YOUR LIFE?, etc. in defense of Palin". Actually, that also qualifies for ad-hominem as well. Good job. quote: I was asking you what qualified someone to be president, because Obama had less than 7 years of Senate experience, lol @ you thinking it was an arbitrary number. Try to keep up. Dude, you must be really dense or cannot read or maybe both. What I said was arbitrary was the MINIMUM limit you set as the number of years of experience a person should have to serve as senator before they can serve as President, not the number of years Obama already served. Here is what I wrote (so take note): "Less than 7 years experience? Who came up with this arbitrary number as the minimum a person should have before serving as the President? You?" quote: Running a state is far more comparable to running a country than being a senator is. How anyone can even debate this is laughable. I'm not saying it is be-all-end-all to someone's electability etc, but the jobs do translate. A state is a scale level country. Any basic knowledge of the US and it's operations and government will show it. So is Palin more qualified than John McCain? quote: Once again, however, you miss my point. The point wasn't that a senator CANNOT be President, but that being a state governor is a very good source of experience. But if you're a governor who's a known idiot, then it is not a good source of experience. She was a joke of a choice for VP and the elections and her interviews showed it.

quote: You do realize that there are different types of racism, right? It doesn't all have to be wearing white hoods and burning crosses. That statement was about as racist as it gets, as was the indian one, and if a Republican said it they'd have been tarred and feathered. That still doesn't debunk my counter argument. quote: He was complimenting Obama at the expense of every other hard-working, "literate", good-looking black man in the country, if you can't see that.... Again, a straw-man. I find it hilarious that republicans are complaining about a so called racist VP was running along side of a black man. If that's not irony, then I do not know what is. quote: She was obviously well qualified to run a state Running a state does not mean you are qualified to run a country; so that's the flaw in your argument right there. quote: what makes a senator (especially one with less than 7 years experience) more qualified to run the country? Less than 7 years experience? Who came up with this arbitrary number as the minimum a person should have before serving as the President? You? The funniest thing about your argument is that it also concludes that Palin is more fit to run then John McCain, who is a SENATOR running for PRESIDENT. quote: That he's more privy to Washington insiders and beltway politics? That he went to Harvard? Oh, kind of like how John McCain

quote: Racist much? Yes, Joe Biden is so racist that Obama would never pick him as his VP, you know, him being black and all... Oh wait.. So that's fail right there. quote: Then you should realize how hard it is to make better your life situation and afford the same respect to others who have done so as well. Doesn't mean you have to like them. I still don't think you understand the point of my posts. My argument is not that I do not like her. It's that she was unqualified to be the VP or the person standing in line to be the President once McCain croaks. It's unfathomable that you point to her gaffs as equivalent to someone just "messing up" (like Biden gaffing how many letters are in the word "jobs") while they speak. Read up some of her quotes; it's obvious that she is VERY ignorant about several issues regarding the American public.
