Probably because of that, we are actually favored by 2 against Milwaukee even though we’re on the road
-
Agree with both of you, and would have given +1's but it won't let me for some reason (I haven't used any recently so it must be a glitch). I would add my above points about Harris to CT's post, I think it all fits together.
-
In fairness to Harris, he only took 3 shots last night and made 2 of them, and they were both 3 point shots. It goes back to a number of posts I made during the game. We are not moving the ball sufficiently. Why is arguably our best 3 point shooter, who is starting, only getting 3 shots the whole game (he played over 30 minutes)?? Do we not have any schemes designed to get him some shots? Way too many Iso's and overdribbling. It's kind of the same story over and over again, at least against teams that can play defense.
-
He’s just forcing everything tonight. He looks great when he doesn’t do that.
-
Boy we look awful tonight. Especially first unit
-
Way too much dribbling from Paulo
-
Just forced three or four possessions in a row. Anthony, Isaac, and Ingles all took difficult shots instead of moving the ball. When we stop sharing it, we aren’t very good. Actually misstated the above. Isaac was trying to go one on one, over dribbled, and lost it without getting a shot.
-
Much much better teamwork with second unit. Other than one force by Cole, all good. Continue with less dribbling and more passing please, including first unit who were forcing everything.
-
Paulo trying to do way too much. At times determined to score even if he’s one vs five or taking a low percentage three.
-
It’s on. I’m watching it.

Why do you think the higher paid players make more money?
-
That’s kind of a silly argument. Since they’re not infallible, they shouldn’t try to figure out who gives them the best chance to win? Should they just pick the players at random, maybe have a lottery or something?
-
Salaries players get are generally directly related to what they’ve shown they can do in the NBA. It’s why Paulo is going to be paid a lot more than Goga when his rookie contract expires. It’s not surprising that playing time is allocated to the best players. Queen got some meaningful playing time with us when we had injuries, and while he held his own, he didn’t look clearly better than anyone else we had out there.
-
Again we completely stop moving the ball in any kind of pressure situation.
-
LOL. True. But honestly at the end of close games they’ve not been moving the ball well all season. Something Mosley mentioned in his last press conference really resonated with me. In response to a question about turnovers, he said that when they drive into the paint and things get start to get crowded, they should not make the extra dribble and should pass the ball out sooner. If they follow that advice at the end of close games, we will be much better off.

Excellent post.

Magic playing another tanking team tonight with half their players out per the injury report. I expect another easy win. I just hope the Magic don’t get used to this level of (non) competition. NBA really should do something about this. People pay good money to go to these games. The game last Saturday, which I attended, fortunately as a guest, was so ridiculous that most people in my suite stopped paying attention midway through the second quarter. I left before the end of the third. Again I didn’t pay anything to go, but would have been upset if I did. Imagine paying big $$ for a Broadway show and having a high school acting group show up to give the performance.
-
Thank you for putting that all together.
-
Very good post.
-
The suite is really nice though :)
-
Just be careful not to take too much away from this game, as I said a few messages ago. Memphis clearly going through the motions and wishing the season was already over
-
This game so far is almost like watching the Globetrotters beating up on whoever the other team is. Even Fultz just hit a three.
-
29-11 near end of first quarter. Too bad we can’t play this version of the Grizzlies every game.
-
We will win easily tonight. We better. I’m in a suite for the first time ever
-
Well, I think one obvious answer is that other teams are giving both Franz and Paulo a lot more attention than they were earlier in the season. They figured out that if you double team either of them when they have the ball, sometimes they’ll continue to attack anyway and turn the ball over. Or they may wind up forcing a bad shot. I think that’s at least part of it. Doesn’t explain everything, such as the drop in his three point shooting.
