This is a heck of a video of how to play defense in the game of basketball.....Jalen just simply plays the ball.....he doesn't guard a player while he is on the floor. He just plays the ball. Thanks for posting it CT !!! See if you can find his video where his passing is showcased. Jalen's basketball IQ is thru the roof. Jalen's athleticism can be compared to the best small players of all time, you pick. Jalen's speed when the game is on is tops versus almost everyone else. Don't get fooled with what has happened to him the first couple of years. The Magic had never had a small player that plays the way he plays the game like him. The closest ones are Nick Anderson, Darrel Armstrong and Penny. And maybe Penny edges him, but think about it, Penny (6'7") is just slightly better defensively than Jalen (6'5"), and he still is only 23. In the first couple of years, he has played 48 and 53 games.....only because he was basically killing himself out there. But after he came back the last time he became a little bit more cautious and played extremely well. Besides the injury in these first two seasons, he had to deal with the fact of the matter that the Raptors passed on him and picked Scottie Barnes who goes and wins the ROY award. Franz is picked after him at 8 and was able to adjust to the NBA game faster than him and played better than him also. On top of that he had to adjust positions and play the shooting guard position...a position that you can tell early on that he is not comfortable at. I still think that he will be a PG in this league.....and with the Magic. Right now we have 2 big stars in Paolo and Franz and ONE MINI STAR IN JALEN. He is simply too good in this sport not to be a big star soon !!! I've said it before and will say it again....I'll go to war in the NBA every night with Jalen on my team.

And what the Magic want (FO And All Of Us) is to get that NEXT star player to round up the team and go and compete hard against the other 29 teams. If you get super lucky and land Wembanyama......on our way to the top we should go. Even if we don't get him, the team is inching in on something special no matter what. There are phenomenal young prospects in this draft up and down AND WE HAVE ( Fingers Crossed) TWO high lottery picks. Player trades are an option too, no question about it.....getting another 1st round pick for 2027 should be a priority as well. Got to continue to be good organically and beat the salary cap obstacles.

Could be...... The FO has a bunch of options including that opportunity if they believe that Antman is the 3rd star player that the team needs to be a tough out. I do believe that Jalen proved with his defense that he is a mini star.....star in the making. His 3PT % the last 10 games was 36%. Still has a lot of potential and could be one of the key players in this team. I'd go to war every night in the NBA with a guy like him.

He could be a hidden gem.....if he is there when it's time to pick @ 11 he might be our pick. Five-star GG Jackson reclassifies, commits to South Carolina after decommitting from UNC....this from an old article date July 2022, yes. At 6-foot-9 and 210 pounds, Jackson is ranked as the No. 1 power forward and No. 2 overall prospect for the Class of 2023 behind Camden, New Jersey, guard D.J. Wagner in the 247Sports Composite. Jackson is the highest-ranked recruit in program history. And he will be only 18 1/2 years old when drafted in May....unbelievable.

Would not surprised me if the FO picks Gradey....if they do I think it has to be with their 1st, doubt he'll be there at 11. And that is the real Q....is he the best player available at pick 6 or not? He is a great shooter for sure, with great length.

I hope we draft him, I really do. Can run like JI used to run, can probably become the defender that JI was at his peak and can play the C position and mix it up with our bigs.

Watched this well put and well said video analysis....as I've watched others. Right now all should be set in stone....first 3 picks: Wemby, Scoot and Amen. If we get super lucky and get one of them, it means that a major transformation of the team should happen. Markelle and Wendell are prospects to be traded. We have 2 firsts, my favorite players to be picked, any 2 of these 4 are: Cam Whitmore, GG Jackson, Anthony Black and Keyonte George. Any combination from these 4 will help make this team hard to beat. I pass on Ausar Thompson, Gradey and Brandon Miller. Getting "these" new 2 players, means that a medium transformation of the team should happen. Chuma, JI, Cole are prospects to be traded. Next years teams, I think, will push Dwight's team down.....next years teams will be the Magic's 2nd best team of all time. Shaq's and Penny's teams still, #1.

Will the Magic be next year's Sacramento Kings? I think at some point this year we were already there......then you add "whichever" players are coming and our odds to winning it all are real. I know....easier said than done.....but not impossible, not completely out of the question. If it happens, we should be the firsts that saw it coming !!!

They are one year apart from their college days in UNC.....Cam 2019, Cole 2020 On Apr 7, our next to last game at BKN, after the game they were congratulating each other and murmuring to each other, laughing like they are really buddies. If the FO is going all in this upcoming season.....they should consider Cam. How good would this team be with him...tell me about it. Who knows what is going to happen until it happens with this FO.....they have being good and lucky the last 3 years once they traded Vuc. They are loaded with assets up and down.....wouldn't be surprised if they trade down one or both picks with the exception of getting super lucky and landing a top 4 spot.

Such a steep price for us if he is valued a $20M a year and he is...... We need his buddy Cole to help recruit him to the Magic.....I think we have a chance to add him. This FA summer could / should be one were we add another solid player.

Agree, it is highly probable, even not knowing where we are picking, we should add 2 solid young studs with potential....hopefully somewhat ready to contribute game 1 of the pre-season up to play-off games...number 90 + I've a feeling Gradey is going to be picked top 10.

Nik is a good guy, a good player too.......but in the last 2 1/2 seasons with the Bulls he "gave" them just one (1) playoff win. He is unrestricted....doubt the Bulls will re-sign him. We'll see.

I think FO target for a big fish has moved to after next season.....Jaylen Brown will be unrestricted and very expensive. He will be 28 at the start of 2024-25 season. Still in his prime. However, allows the FO to evaluate next year the 2 guards positions to make the necessary salary cuts.....and bring Jaylen in with Franz, Paolo and Wendell. This is one of a few Maybe Scenarios to consider.

The pressure is on for sure next season....for many it's a given that we are making the PLAYOFFS straight up, for other it's not a given, and understandingly so. To make it straight up this year in the EC, it required 45 wins....we won 34 times. Plus the league overall, both conferences, was very tight, very competitive this year. And next year even more with such a good draft class joining in. I wonder, which top 10 team, the Magic will replace in the Play-in or Playoffs next year? I know, nobody knows for sure but I'm going to eliminate the Heat and or Raptors. Especially the Raptors if they decide to part ways with some of their core players.
