Mosley needs to work on these defensive rotations because they are just atrocious. No effort or desire to win on that side of the ball it’s infuriating.
-
We can’t defend the 3, are getting out rebounded, and keep turning it over. Yet we are still in this game somehow. If we can pick it up on the defensive end we should win this game.
-
How is it we have no type of rim protection or competent rebounding when we roll out one of the biggest starting 5’s in the league?
-
He made the winning plays when it mattered. At the end of the day it’s Steph Curry the best shooter of all time so you can’t really expect to contain him for the whole game.
-
Where are all the Suggs haters at?!
-
There actually was information put out on how Fultz got injured. He said he stubbed his toe at home and broke it, it was also reported he initially practiced for a few days before finding out it was broken. So it seems like he should be back any day now unless he suffered a setback.

Bamba still looks lost out there, I like Bol’s game a lot better. -

You know the season has officially started when TMF posts her highly anticipated game threads, great job as always and Go Magic! -
We dodged a major bullet feel sorry for those OKC fans and Chet but I’m that much happier we made the right choice by drafting a guy who has an NBA ready body and the game to back up being the number 1 pick.
-
Agree that he’s way better. Sure AG is more athletic but he doesn’t even know how to use it to his advantage. Franz is already better than him in every other facet of the game besides defense but I expect that to change sooner rather than later.
-
RJ is trash he doesn’t learn from his mistakes and just does the same thing over and over again, the definition of insanity.
-
Hahaha we thought the same thing.
-
Then he follows it up with another boneheaded play. No court awareness whatsoever.
-
Doing typical RJ things. Low bball IQ on full display.
-
Caleb Houstan’s shot is very smooth, I’m liking the pick more and more. He also moves constantly off the ball and I’m just waiting for someone to finally hit him with a pass.
-
Even when he is playing off the ball anytime he gets it he’s looking for his shot instead of making the right play. He will never make it in this league if he keeps putting himself first.
-
True but if I’m the coach I’m holding all players accountable and he clearly missed Houstan on the break. He’s playing too selfishly instead of getting others involved and teaching guys to play the right way is more important than worrying about their confidence.
-
RJ is looking awful he needs to have a seat until he plays some team basketball.
-
Caleb Houstan is looking pretty good as well.
-
Oh I know it’s just nice seeing it in a live game setting with him wearing a Magic jersey instead of just in practice.
-
Guys Banchero’s shot is legit, I think we struck gold with this pick.
-
RJ is forcing everything right now and not letting the game come to him. Highly disappointing so far, I was hoping to see some sort of improvement from last year.
-
My thoughts exactly, he struggled due to the fact Kenny Lofton Jr was deliberately backing him down on offense and putting a body on him on the defensive end. Chet is going to face much quicker and physical bigs once he plays against NBA starting PF’s and C’s. It’s going to be interesting how he adjusts to the physicality although I do think the spacing in the NBA is going to benefit him tremendously especially when SGA and Giddey are on the floor attracting so much attention from the defense.
-
I definitely see the potential with Chet but the red flags with his health are definitely concerning and I’m glad we passed up on him because of this. He fell a few times and even twisted his ankle in the first half and this was against Utah who didn’t seem like they had any NBA ready players. If he can stay healthy he will be a generational talent but that’s a big if.

Myles Turner and Donovan Mitchell.
