Spot on and a thumbs up and yes; Trump all the way! I give this analogy to my diehard liberal friends and wife from Canada:

let’s pretend for a moment that you have a corporate job and your employment is solid, your 401k is fat, your getting raises and have security, but your CEO is a jerk: would you want to fire him? Probably not.

now there will be those who are negative as usual and say that’s not the case right now, but if China didn’t act so irresponsible with the virus we may not be in this position, but things will get back to normal and by bringing manufacturing back we are ensuring stability in the future; basically reversing everything Obama did. One of my predictions is Obama will be charged with Tyranny in time.

People have to realize that in order to essentially run the free world you need an alpha dog to deal with these dictators and liars like China. You need a tough SOB that most people including myself wouldn’t want to share a beer with. Results matter in this world!!!  I don’t like Trump, but I respect him and what he’s sacrificed for all of us and it is plain as day how the media is corrupt and have an agenda. Trump didn’t need this crap as he was a billionaire and now his life is in jeopardy as well as his family members. Dammit he even donates his 400k salary to charities.

Nicely said! Not sure about Obama and the tyranny thing, but everything else I agree with wholeheartedly. I love the part about Trump being the Alpha dog. It sure beats Clinton and her hope for a New World Order.

P.S. Take it easy, dude. This is the last post from me on this forum. Go Magic!

Ok, so all the haters who have been calling me crazy over my predictions and giving me - , I can report that the Fed was indeed reorganized yesterday when Trump signed. More predictions to come true shortly and then at some point I will probably leave this board due to all the negativity, it’s not worth the uneasiness of conflict when life has so much better to offer when one looks in the right places.

Thumbs up! I have been a member of many message boards. Mostly to talk NFL football. This is the first, and probably last basketball forum I will join. I don't know if it is a basketball thing or not, but people aren't interested in building relationships and embracing our common bond, the Magic. They just want to prove to the world just how smart they are ( or think they are). That's cool. I can usually agree to disagree on things. I don't claim to know it all. I wouldn't want to. However, to each their own and as you said, it's not worth it. I am pulling chocks on this one. Cya!

    P.S.

Go, Trump! Let's beat this virus, get people well, and get our economy back on track!

I don't really know what to say on it all. But yeah if your old or have a poor immune system stay safe and vigilant.

Seems to me like the mass panic has been driven up by the media. Quite outrageous really.

It really is just a strain of flu. I'd be more concerned if it the death toll was kids and younger people .. it's not at all

I am one of those in the older category. I am not panicking, but I am definitely going to be vigilant. If I feel something like the flu coming on, I am staying home and then calling Cigna's Ask  Doctor to ask where I can get tested (hopefully for free). I work with the public, and my wife's a teacher. I wouldn't want to get anyone else infected. Because of allergies, I have become susceptible to bronchitis, so hopefully, it won't take me down if I get it. Glad I have life insurance. :-)

I think you are misreading my posts. I stated several times I love MF and what he brings to our team. I was only questioning his deference on offense when I know he can do more than what he is doing for this team currently on that side of the ball. I get he is a rookie and he has been dealing with this injury for a while. I was only bringing up the point of him deferring more times than not on offense and disappearing on that end for long stretches at a time. In no way was I ever bashing him and that’s where I think a lot of you are misinterpreting what I was saying about him. I love his passing and he would be averaging more assists if guys around him were better. I just wish he would be more aggressive on offense that’s all.

That's cool. My apologies. I may have misunderstood. I thought you were down on him because you didn't think he had the IT factor. I was just pointing out that I think he will show more of it in time. With me, I think it is more important for all of us to actually have a discussion. I am just a regular guy who has a lot to learn when it comes to basketball. I value all positive input.

I look at guys like Dejountay Murray and Ja Morant who are rookies playing with vets but they take over when needed by their respective teams. I don’t buy the whole needing to earn respect from the vets when those vets aren’t helping your team win. If you’re a baller and know it it should show on the court there’s no need to be passive or scared to show them up because that’s why you’re in the best league in the world with the best talent in the world. If Fultz had the IT factor he would show it more on the court. Maybe the coach is telling him to set his guys up more than look for his own shot but that’s why we are in this shambolic mess to begin with. Entitled vets who aren’t held accountable for terrible play night in and out.

With respect, I am not sure why you are busting on Fultz. Considering what he has been through, I think he has come a long way. Recently on the Orlando Magic Pod Squad, AG called Fultz a point god. Those guys know who can play or not, so to me that is heaping a lot of praise on the young guy. It's clear the guy has some skill, plus Fultz is only 21 (Murray is 23) and he hasn't really played one complete season. I think he has sort of hit a wall because this is the most playing time he has had since coming in the NBA. I think he just needs some time and after he gets a complete summer to work on his game, I am confident he will have a breakout season next year. It also wouldn't hurt if he had some better players around him either, so maybe WelHam can do something with that.

  6. This team sure is frustrating, however,  I don’t think there is an easy fix. At this point, I am not even sure we could say that they are underachieving. If our guys ( Fultz, AG and JI, if healthy) getting playoff experience wasn’t so important, I would hope for our young guys like Bamba, Iwundu, and Frazier to start getting the major minutes and see if they can develop. I need something to look forward to when I watch our games.

"4" is a pointless term. You have to stop looking at guys like pegs that can only fit one hole.

We spend most of our time lately getting Gordon switched onto smaller defenders so he can use his size and strength to get them to the rim. That doesn't change with Isaac in the lineup.

What does is our spacing. The success of Gordon and Isaac as a pair is dependent on both guys being league average shooters at worst. That's why it looked great the end of last year when both guys were hitting threes and it looked bad at times this year when both guys weren't.

This version of Gordon hitting 40% of his threes is literally the ideal match for Isaac because Gordon is built to handle the heavier stronger opponents where Isaac isn't. And Isaac covers a bunch of Gordon's weaknesses. And it sets up a situation where if Gordon is defended by 3s he can take guys to the rim but if they decide to put their 3 on Isaac he can get to his spots and shoot over them as a 6'6, 6'7 guy typically can't contest his release.

Neither guy is "better at the 4". Both are just mismatch hunters who need spacing to make that happen.

Thanks for clarifying that. I think what gets confusing for inexperienced fans like me is when I listen to AG on a pod squad podcast, and he says things like he is really trying to embrace being a power forward. I grew up watching guys like Karl Malone and Horace Grant, and when I think of power forward, I can't seem to get those playing styles out of my head.  I am starting to see the forward spots as more interchangeable, but it's been a slow process because, as a ball watcher, I don't know what to look for. :-)

I think a lot of Gordon’s issues are mental. He obviously has all the tools, but has a tendency to push sometimes and then it doesn’t work and he gets out of sync.

on another note Evan is making it very difficult not to resign him.

I was thinking to myself the other day that since it seems like AG starts raining in 3's in the 4th that maybe if AG ran about 100 wind sprints before a game, it would help him settle in faster (j/k). He has so much energy and stamina that it seems like his shots fall more easily when he is a little winded. Seriously, though, his shot seems to be more consistent throughout the game, lately, and he's playing like we all hoped he eventually would. I hope he keeps it up because I don't really want us to trade him this off-season.

So antsy for ball. We have a good chance of having a really strong finish to the season with the weaker schedule. Can we parlay that into a 7th seed or is that not happening? Don’t know how good Brooklyn is.

Do you think Coach Cliff will tweak anything during our long break or let things ride for the rest of the season? Or, maybe I should ask, is there anything you would like Coach Cliff to tweak, and if so, what?
