clifford is doing a tremendous job this season, but there are 2 things I didnt like so far: 1- he tends to take the guy with the hot hand out early, even when he is not playing a lot of minutes or in a foul trouble situation. I have seen this repetadly with ross and simmons 2- in the final play against the raptors, you have to use your best defenders. How are bamba and isaac NOT out there?

I am not with that narrative. The argument is that I think that ross plus pick is attractive enough. Btw ross was 2-12 last night

They will either try to resign rozier at a decent salary, let him walk or find a better trade than a bench guy and the 17 pick. a regressed brown still has way more upside than ross. Ross is not the missing piece to a championship team

They would be parting with two very promising (one of them a top 5 pick) and very young guys on their second year with rookie contracts who already showed their talent when given minutes for a great bench wing and the 17th pick. again, would be great to have them, but it is not realistic that celtics would pull the trigger on that one

It is not a realistic trade. Ainge would never entertain it. more real would be ross/ vucevic/ dj and first for rozier and brown that would get us a nice starting 5 of bamba isaac gordon brown rozier but no depth after it I would go all in for beal instead

Given how well we are playing,, it is difficult to know if a vuc trade can be good or bad for us in the future. Dont know if it is a contract year show or real improvement, but I think we should wait and find out The only way I would trade him rigt now is to get beal, who is a consolidated star on a decent contract. wall worries me more because of his age, mileage, and lack of perceived motivation. but if we can somehow get beal while giving fournier, picks and assets (washington is surely going to refuse it), it would be an ainge move.

Getting rid of Fournier in a beal trade would be amazing. Don’t know how we could achieve it, though

Agree with all, but I think gordon should be our 2nd guy, not the star of the team. I think he would be the one who will benefits the most from having a top alpha dog scorer on the lineup.

Positively surprised about the TO trend. Have watched quite a few games and there have been much less no nonsense plays. simmons, forunier and gordon throw some errants pass from time to time, but overall we improved greatly.

Agree. clifford has done a really nice job, vuc is playing out of his mind (I would like him to at least raise his arms while contesting a shot), ross has been unbelievable, and some nice contributions by gordon, bamba and dj. For us to get to the playoffs we need to have a better record than wizards and heat. Those will be our real opponents for the 8th seed. And we will need fournier, simmons and grant to be at least decent to have a shot at this. I dont know what else to expect from isaac, though (if he does play)

I have to say, I have liked clifford so far. Yes, it's 15 games and we have a negative record. But I watch them playing and they look more focused, moving the ball well, there are marked improvements from several guys (vuc, ross and gordon) and the defensive intensity is there in some games. And he seems to hold them accountable. My only complain so far is that he just seems to take the hot guy out of the court too soon. I am not sure they are so tired that they need to go out. I have seen this behaviour a couple of games in a row, where someone like ross (yesterday) has 12 points in 8 minutes in the second quarter, and he is the only one of the bench who gets replaced, while sticking with simmons who ends up playing 27 minutes in a night his shot (and overall game) was totally off. clifford does not ride the hot hand.

Rules question: in that fastbreak rivers fouled grant away from the ball as Simmons was shooting a wide open 3. They called the foul and gave Orlando possession. This is a disadvantage imo because we were shooting an open 3. If that is the rule then everyone could foul an away from the ball guy while someone else shoots

Wasn't cllifford the one that howard used to rave about when he was here? Saying things like he really helped him improve his game. If so, then he may be a big men guru.
