And I think you can have a PG that doesn’t shoot exceptionally well but that have to have other skills that are elite and that can help overcome that deficiency in their games. I don’t know that this draft really has that.

I think that WeltHam are about to blow a lot of this roster up. Just needed to give it a year before making some of those changes. -
Good GMs make good trades. Unfortunately we haven’t owned someone in a trade in a long time
-
My point is that we are more than likely going to win more games than Dallas from here on out and that unless we change our philosophy on tanking, they will end up passing up. So I would rather get as much space as possible away from the Kings as we can so that we don't drop any farther down. But I see where you are coming from
-
Honestly, at this point I think I would have a larger gap from the Kings since we are gonna win a few more games.

I just looked it up. What a great story. Love that basketball is such an international sport and that scouting has reached a point to make so many of these stories possible (though giannis is definitely bigger than most).

Never underestimate the will that some of these other teams have to tank haha
-
Exactly. Even at our worst idk that we can out-tank them

A lot of people took Hammonds quote last night and pointed to porter and jjj, but honestly I don’t get how you don’t hear that quote about length and shooting and picture Mikal. Kid is really really good. Will have an immediate role in the nba with tons of potential to grow. Maybe I am just biased because he might be my favorite prospect (not necessarily the best prospect) but I think this kid is 100% what we are looking for other than a pg.

I've followed him for a while when he was committed to play at UF and an unknown. Never expected him to become what he is now. That being said, I think I could see us picking him at the 6/7 spot maybe. What do you think his upside is in the league?

While deep in my thoughts at work today, I thought of how much I would like to see a tanking debate between the extreme pro-tank stance of ROCK LEGENDS PHOTOGRAPHERS against the extreme anti-tank stance of Philip Rossman-Reich of OMD. I don't know that there are two people who defend their stances as strongly as these two. Yes, it was a slow day at work.

And we still might. I’m all for tanking but I guess winning this way just makes me feel a lot better than the Vuc and Fournier show -

I get the desire to tank. I am typically on the tank side of this argument. But we have our only two true core players playing extensive minutes together for the first time and are beating the top team in the east. This should make you happy too. We aren’t gonna draft top 2, and 3-7 are very similar in caliber of prospect. Not to mention we still might lose -
Same. Thought this investigation stuff would have them motivated

This is kinda where I am at this point. I guess depending on how you view Ayton, there isn't necessarily a sure bet franchise changer in this draft, so why not see where you end up and get a guy that can help build what we have as a core. Plenty of ways to build a competitive roster outside of completely tanking. Now, trusting our FO to do might be a different conversation, but we shall see. -

I agree that I don’t think anyone on the roster should be untouchable. Obviously Gordon would have to bring back a larger return. I think he’s the closest thing we have to a Star but something about him seems off for me. Can’t put my finger on it. I think we have some decent trade pieces but most of them would be valuable to playoff teams as they’ve proven they can’t lead a team alone. More valuable as role players. Because of that, I don’t see a team in the bottom half of the league selling the farm for anyone on the roster other than MAYBE AG. You can however trade them for pieces that fit the identity the team is building but might not be studs. All of which is important to turning this mess around. haha I’m new here and rambled hard but it’s just a weird spot that we are in -

Out of curiosity, what bottom 5 team is gonna sell their high pick for anything we have? I know Dallas has been mentioned, but I don't necessarily see it. Other bottom-dwelling teams are in similar situations to us and probably value top 5 picks just as much as we do. -
