kyrie done
Lol, I wish. Kyrie has been out pretty much the whole season and we've still been falling behind on the Nets. We need a similar end to the season as last year to pass them.

If we come out flat in the 3rs, the game is over..

If the best player is out that means we lose right?? lol

This game won't be easy for us but it's a winnable game. If we win our next 3 (all losing record teams), then we'll be in good shape to compete with Brooklyn for the seventh spot.

The shots that bother me the most are the crazy off-balance fadeaways or when he charges straight into the defense and throws prayers at the rim, these usually get blocked, stripped and stolen, or he misses badly. He does occassionaly have the game where he does everything he should be doing on offense and for the most part is always on point with his defense but, overall he has been pretty awful offensively this season. He's still young and I'm still betting that he figures it out, not a super star but at least a more consistent version of himself.

Iwundu better not come back into the game...

Yeah, pretty much my reaction..

Both.

33 minutes ago, Fultz4thewin said:That's not really what they're talking about. They mean a guy who can consistently be a first option.
Sorry. It's hard to see that when names like JJ Reddick, CJ McCollum, Zach Lavine, and D'Angelo Russell are being thrown around. None of these guys are first option guys...
I do get what they were talking about and was offering Chuma as that potential player. Since it would be a waste of time trading for the guys mentioned, we might as well waste time seeing if one of our players develop into this sought after "consistent scorer".
-
Maybe Chuma might be that consistent scorer (or 3 and D) guy we're looking for..

I'm going to this game, we better win!

Wow, that escalated quickly...

I guess Toronto knows how to shutdown Vooch...

I think Coach Cliff will start Fultz if DJ isn't working out. He wasn't afraid to close the game with Fultz the other night, that has to be a good sign right?

It's only game 2 but Gordon has to figure this out.
And if we're so deep we shouldn't have games where our vets all play like this at the same time.
Gordon looks pretty bad, he looks like he's in his second year again. It also seems like the bench has been carrying some parts of the game, especially on defense.
-
Nice seeing Fultz closing out a game! Trae couldn't be stopped though.
-
The dragon looks like he's farting magic flames lol, great job though! Let's see if the Magic's offense can get moving tonight.
-
I don't know if 46 wins is good enough for 4th but the east could be that closely stacked. If preseason is any indicator of what's to come, our defense looks great but our offense is still all over the place.

I am not too sure why we're even discussing if Fultz sucks yet.. We have him for a two full seasons (if he's healthy), lets just wait until the end of next season to discuss if he's worth keeping around. This conversation really does remind me of the Arroyo vs Nelson days though lol.

53 minutes ago, Captain said:After last night, what do you guys think of Fultz 3 point form?
Horrible and jerky, he's not smooth at all. It looks like set shots from beyond the arc are very difficult for him. Why? I am not sure. It could be the shoulder being stiff or maybe he just has to workout his shooting form for consistency. Any other shots (fadeaways, floaters, pull ups) are all fine and pretty smooth for the most part.
*EDIT* I imagine that not being able to shoot correctly because of muscles/nerve issues for months (in this case almost two years) would affect your shooting form and it will take a while to get back to normal if hes just recently healthy again.

If fultz is great or Gordon takes a leap we pretty much have to rewrite all of our expectations for this year.
If Fultz is healthy and stays healthy, he's automatically 2 or 3x better than MCW. Thats already an improvement from last year and should be worth at least a couple of games, right?

Fultz is going to look fine shooting the ball today. He's going to be ready for training camp.
His effectiveness shooting the ball in real game situations will be impossible to predict and it wouldn't shock me if he was never effective at shooting.
While I'm not worried about him being ready for camp, I am concerned about what he's going to look like after he gets through a bit of the NBA schedule
Yeah, without a reliable jumpshot his best case "star potential" scenario is maybe John Wall with defense?
