Can't even blame it on the injury. Going 2-11 isn't a big deal. Going 2-11 because you took like 6 bad shots is a big deal.

The shots that bother me the most are the crazy off-balance fadeaways or when he charges straight into the defense and throws prayers at the rim, these usually get blocked, stripped and stolen, or he misses badly. He does occassionaly have the game where he does everything he should be doing on offense and for the most part is always on point with his defense but, overall he has been pretty awful offensively this season. He's still young and I'm still betting that he figures it out, not a super star but at least a more consistent version of himself.

That's not really what they're talking about. They mean a guy who can consistently be a first option.

Sorry. It's hard to see that when names like JJ Reddick, CJ McCollum, Zach Lavine, and D'Angelo Russell are being thrown around. None of these guys are first option guys...

I do get what they were talking about and was offering Chuma as that potential player. Since it would be a waste of time trading for the guys mentioned, we might as well waste time seeing if one of our players develop into this sought after "consistent scorer".

After last night, what do you guys think of Fultz 3 point form?

Horrible and jerky, he's not smooth at all. It looks like set shots from beyond the arc are very difficult for him. Why? I am not sure. It could be the shoulder being stiff or maybe he just has to workout his shooting form for consistency. Any other shots (fadeaways, floaters, pull ups) are all fine and pretty smooth for the most part.

*EDIT* I imagine that not being able to shoot correctly because of muscles/nerve issues for months (in this case almost two years) would affect your shooting form and it will take a while to get back to normal if hes just recently healthy again.

Of course all of my opinions are based on conservative estimates of improvement. That fultz will operate basically as what you'd expect from a pretty good rookie and the other guys will improve in noticable but incremental ways.

If fultz is great or Gordon takes a leap we pretty much have to rewrite all of our expectations for this year.

If Fultz is healthy and stays healthy, he's automatically 2 or 3x better than MCW. Thats already an improvement from last year and should be worth at least a couple of games, right?

    It really doesn't matter.

Fultz is going to look fine shooting the ball today. He's going to be ready for training camp.

His effectiveness shooting the ball in real game situations will be impossible to predict and it wouldn't shock me if he was never effective at shooting.

While I'm not worried about him being ready for camp, I am concerned about what he's going to look like after he gets through a bit of the NBA schedule

Yeah, without a reliable jumpshot his best case "star potential" scenario is maybe John Wall with defense?
