What would be the point in trading Aaron Gordon before the draft when he has another year on his deal? Unless we get a star back which is unlikely. Surely it would better to wait to see where the ping pong balls drop before trading him. -
Thanks for taking the time to answer that. It does seem like those five are the top 5 but based on the needs of the Magic only 3 of those make sense for us to draft (Cade, Green, Kuminga). Fingers crossed for a top 3 pick to guarantee it.

In your opinion what do you think the ceiling is for the consensus top 5? For example I see Cade as a perineal all star, all nba and potential best player on a championship contender. As someone who seems to know a lot about this draft it would be interesting to hear your opinion for what they have shown so far

I get your point about our GMs ability to evaluate draft talent but I’d rather be picking 6th or higher in this draft than lose a play-in game

I appreciate that you are hesitant about adding an injury prone player but with our current lack of star quality I’d be willing to take the risk. Especially with his size, mobility, shooting (although it hasn’t been great this season) and defensive upside. Also fits with the timeline of our younger players -

I hate the middle of the road approach we are taking as a potential 7/8th seed and would prefer if management went one way or another. Even if it didn’t work out at least show some aggression.

If improvements to this roster aren’t made soon how long do people think we’ll keep this team together? personally, I think it gets blown up next year if no significant progress is made e.g. reaching the second round

I think Vuc is bigger than Theis and more mobile and better defensively than Kanter imo (also stretches the floor better) and there was rumoured interest from them before

He impressed me in the first round match-up this year but imo with the team constructed the way it is I think it’s time to pull the plug. Might have to get a third team involved thinking about their roster

Miami winning might make the Celtics want to trade for a C and Vucevic’s value has never been higher imo

Agreed. I feel that Vuc’s value is never going to be higher than it is now so if we’re going to trade him it would be between the end of the season and the trade deadline.
