We can trade for him if fultz is terrible but if fultz is a piece we're building around they can't play together because their responsibilities overlap too much.
Also there's signs that last year for him was an outlier contact year. Last year was fueled by crazy high efficiency on mid-range shots. Those shots are high variance for everyone but mvp caliber guys (and CJ McCollum). So if last year was an outlier he's no longer really worth being a number one guy. And he's on a rookie max contract.
It's just a really bad idea.
And our front office knows all this so it's highly unlikely to happen

5.5 mil a year is definitely something

The concessions at Amway Center are impressive – a giant plate of nachos runs $10, drinks range from $4.50 for a regular soda to $8 for a large, and beer ranges from $7.50 to $8.50, a fair price for any sporting facility. Perhaps the deal of the night, however, are the combos, where you can get a cheeseburger, fries, and regular soda for $14. The quality of the food items is also top notch, with mouth-watering options on display at every turn.
A plate of nachos sounds different than movie theater nachos if I'm not mistaken??

Hi guys, I'm going to my first game in 12 years to see us play the Knicks. Does anyone have a guess as to what popcorn and nachos cost in the stadium? Wanna make sure I budget accordingly.

Preseason stats so far
Fultz: 6.7ppg on 32/0/100 shooting; 2 rpg; team high 4.3 apg; 2 spg
Augustin: 6ppg 32/33/75 shooting; 1 rpg; 3 apg; 1.7 spg
MCW: 6.7 ppg 53/0/67 shooting; 4.3 rpg; 3 apg; team high 2.7 spg.
You'd have to rank them
1. MCW
2. Fultz
3. DJ
If we were exclusively looking at preseason numbers and nothing else
Perfect point

27 minutes ago, 3rd Quarter Collapse said:Some of it I think was chemistry— there was one or two times where he was trying to dump it off to someone after driving to the rim and the player wasn’t ready for the dump off. There was still some bad moments where he went to the basket two against one and he wasn’t putting himself in that great of a position to score, though.
I'll take these problems any day of the week

Gotta remember it's a job and not everyone is super amazing at their job compared to the field just because they have a position in the field.

And that was the best game of his career so far.
Obviously the difference between starters and bench players isn't peak so much as it is consistency. But I wonder if we can get a few more games like this out of him:
Thank you for sharing this. I think it all comes down to confidence and I feel he'll have a healthy amount of it coming back for another season with us.

JI has been super mature and shown flashes of beating his man off the dribble. Hes played his role being a 5th option (as he should be at such a young age and trying to stay healthy) I think its lame to try to put a ceiling on a guy who's shown some amazing flashes, provides all NBA caliber defense, and has little to no major flaws. Hes played for 2 years. I could list 30 NBA superstars that haven't looked as good as JI they're first 2 years. Let's get realistic here.
See Kwahi Leonard, Tracy McGrady, Scottie Pippen and Kobe Bryant even to some extent.
