  1. My wife and I like to shag dance (A partner dance that originated along the beaches of North and South Carolina) to old rhythm and blues music from the 1950s and 60s. Most shaggers like to dance to songs around 115BPM, BMP meaning Beats Per Minute. However, we like to dance to stuff that is really fast, thus the name 135BMP+ If you give a s*** check out the best around, Sam West, on the link below.

    JJ Redick, Yeah I know

  4. quote: Originally posted by the anchovie:Well I don't think JJ will start but its an interesting concept.Redick is doing more than shooting. He's almost taken on the role of a point guard. Redick did start with Carter so its not totally out of the question. But it is a long shot. Starters: Nelson Redick Carter Lewis Howard If you could rebound the ball well it would give you a great 1st and 2nd team. 2nd Team Williams - Point Pietrus - SG Bass, Anderson, Barnes - 3rd and 4th position Gortat - Center Good point Anchovie. This starting lineup is a definite and very potent possibility. And Magic Fan For Life, don't let these clowns get on your nerves. These are the same clowns that said back in the summer when this roster was assemblied that JJ would never see the floor. I haven't added the MPG up but it is highly possible that Redick is leading the team in mins. played through the 1st five games. Again, just be glad that Stan sets the lineup and not members of this board. GO MAGIC!!!

Neo is slowly playing himself into a permanent starter

Kitno was right on when it came to Nelson last night. Along with being completely selfish with the ball, he presented absolutely no point guard skills yesterday. This is why people like me call jameer a sg in a pg's body. And, he let bynum and stuckey play little mind games with him-and they won. Jameer should have not even been looking for his shot yesterday, he left people rediculously open constantly last night and threw up ugly shot after ugly shot. It was relatively important for him to get some penetration, so I understand what he was trying to do...But if you penetrate the perimeter defense, it doesnt mean you have to immediately hoist up a bad shot. VC showed poor shot selection, no doubt. But, thats his game, we should get used to it. And for the umpteenth time it seems, Barnes hustles, but thats about it. I like what he brings, but he is not a go to guy by any stretch. Bass is a chucker. What he said +1. Bass has skills but he is a blackhole when he gets the ball in the post. He is going to shoot it or if he's covered closely he holds the ball to long and the shot clock winds down and someone has to end up forcing up a bad shot. Barnes is great if he can flow with the game and use his skills during up-tempo situations. But the game is slowed and he has to think, lookout. He is a turnover ready to happen. But I do admire his grit and hustle. GO MAGIC!!

J.J. Redick for 6th Man of the Year?

quote: Originally posted by Mr. DaTsuN:wow these new board members are pretty rediculous starting a new thread every 5 seconds for anything new that happens. J.J. is never going to get 6th moty, no way. He had one good game and thats great, but lets not look at him as a god now. Never say never when it come to Mr. Redick. There were several clowns on this board last summer that kept insisting that JJ would't see the floor with all the new roster additions that Otis had aquired. It was no way to get them to look at anything involving JJ rationally. They only look at Redick with biased hate. Thus, I stopped posting for a while and just decided to wait and let the season start and see what happens. Well, Redick just finished dropping 27 on Toranto and has pretty much secured the backup role at SG behind Vince with his play thusfar, though you will never get any of these same clowns to say that JJ being the backup SG is rationally possible. Even the positive comments that Stan has made about Redick will have little effect on the hate. The hate may run very deep for Mr. Redick, but you gotta admit their is alot of clowns on this board that wish they had never said never. I bet most of them spend as much time involved with the hope that JJ screws up while watching a game as the time thay spend pulling for the Magic!! GO MAGIC!!

Even though his shooting was horrible! Aside from 12 points on horrible shooting, 9 rebs, 4ast, 6 stls and 2 blks! Pietrus is not capable of that and also they will want to keep him happy since he wants that contract and too finish out his career as a Magic! Barnes is a good player and the magic definitely benefit from having him on the roster. But he is a terrible ball handler, facilitator, and not the greatest decision maker in the world. He one of those players that could benefit from using the John Wooden philosophy of "BE QUICK, BUT DON"T BE IN A HURRY" He tends to rush things but he is a hustler and likes to mix it up. A great guy to have on your team, but probally not see over 10-12 mins a game when Shard gets back if Stan decides to play Shard at the 3 alot. If he doesn't use Shard at the 3 much, Bass will probally be the odd man out if Anderson continues his hot shooting. Depends alot on matchups because Anderson's defense is very questionable right now. Hopefully, he can learn quickly because his shooting is deadly and he is not a bad rebounder. GO MAGIC!!!!! I don't think Bass will be the odd man out, because he is our second unit go to low post guy on offense. Dude has been pretty much unstoppable one on one. You could be right. Bass or Anderson as Shard's backup is alright with me. They both have been very productive. GO MAGIC!!!!

  9. No No No guys, If you could see me I'd say read my lips. JJ is the backup 2 guard on this team with this current roster. When Vince comes out of the game, Redick will take his place. Vince will need rest during portions of every game. The way JJ has improved he will play the 20-25 mins. that Carter will need to rest. We're 3-0. JJ played over 20 min the first two game and we won by double digits. He scored 27 today and we won without MP and Vince and Shard. Geeesh! The kid has started to play the way Otis knew he could when he drafted him. Give him his due credit and be happy for him. The hate is stifling. GO MAGIC!!!!
  10. Though it appears that many are in denial that JJ is Stan's choice as Vince's backup, time will eventally show them. As I said back in the summer after Otis rid of Hedo "The Big Chucker" Turkgolu, Reddick will play between 20-25 mins a game with this current roster as Vince's backup. Stan has has aready labeled him as his best perimiter defender after MP. If he continues to shoot the way he has the first 3 games there's no way he will not play. I think the odd men out will be split between Bass, Anderson, and Barnes depending on matchups. Many want to shift people around and play them out of position simply to keep JJ out of the game. As most of us Redick supporters have stresed all along, Its a good thing that Stan's the coach and sets the lineups. These type fans remind me of the parent who has a little league coach that won't let their kid play.
  11. JJ is simply the smartest player in a Magic uniform. Some say he is hesitant at times. I say he simply does not take bad shots or make bad passes because he makes the correct decision. The two biggest plays that JJ made today were the two steals he was involved with when the Raptors closed to a couple of points with about 3:30 to play. One Bosh dribble/bounced the ball off the back of JJ foot simply because Redick had the presence of mind to simply back up into Bosh and close off his driving lane. The other play he simply dropped down on a Cauleron pentration and intercepted the pass. The Magic scored on both posessions and the Raps never got close again. He really turned into a solid player. Go Magic!!!!!!!
  12. quote: Originally posted by TreyTime:I hope he's back... I like Lee. He seems like a great kid. But, who needs Lee with the new and improved JJ Redick. Last nights Stats: Lee- 18 pts in 40:29 mins, 6-17 from the floor (35%) with 1 rebound 2 assist and 2 steals Redick- 10 pts in 28:55, 4-10 from the floor (40%) with 5 rebounds 2 assist Redick did a great job handling the ball at the end of the game and you know he's going to hit his free throws with the game on the line. Stats look pretty even to me. Redick is just as effective and we got VC for Lee. Magic definitely got the better of this trade

Forward Ryan Anderson to start in Lewis absence

Our rotation is deadly Jameer/Williams Carter/Redick Pietrus/Barnes Anderson/Bass Howard/Gortat When Shard comes back you'll have Shard/Anderson or Bass. Carter can play some SF with Redick at the 2 when playing against teams with small lineups Pietrus can play some SG and Barnes at the 3 against the LeBrons and Kobes Jameer is deadly driving and pulling up; Williams can get out and run as well or better than Jameer Gortat would be starting for alot of teams Man, we are stacked at every position. I can't wait until Wed nite.
  15. quote: Originally posted by Rob:What the hell is this crap. We have 76ers fans doing Magic game threads now. W T F!!!!! Were beating them by 20. The Sixers can't shoot. Their best shooter is Kapono and he won't get a lot of minutes due to Iguadala and Young. This should be a easy win. Yeah! And if Kapono does get hot Stan will just open a can of JJ Shut Down WHOOP A** like he did on Ray Allen and that will be the end of that. GO MAGIC!!!!
