I see what you are saying with energy and activity. I just did not see special. And at 5 I need potential to be that dude.
-
Hezonja is definitely in the running! I wanted so bad for that guy to be good! I think we all were.
-
Correct. I hope this draft goes well and we are bold to bring in a lot more talent. I can't remember a time recently when I have been more excited about a Magic season! Not counting who we bring in I am excited to watch the growth of Chuma, Hampton especially, Anthony, and eventually when Isaac and Fultz come back!
-
I hope they are very aggressive. That is what wins in sports these days! Playing it safe leads to your ceiling being a habitual 8th seed or play in tournament!
-
Oh absolutely he is a role player in the NBA. But his spot is safe because my most annoying player in Magic history is...... wait for it........Pat Garrity!
-
Wow Fournier worked team USA! Still top 5 most annoying players in Magic history though.
-
Have not followed much of Sengun but from what I have seen his footwork is exceptional! Would not be shocked if we pick him at 8.
-
I totally agree with you that this will be a multiple draft process. That is exactly my reply to folks that think we have to get shooters in this draft. But if you have 2 picks in the top ten I would hope you draft someone with the upside of being a shot creator and high upside.
-
Really? What exactly did you see that "popped"?
-
Nightmare draft would be Barnes and Moody! Let's go another decade with no shot creators! SMH
-
As an FSU fan I did not see that. I often had to remind myself what his number was so I could tell who he was on the court. He in no way stood out from his competition.
-
I can see in 3 to 4 years people will wonder why they did not pay more attention to the fact Kuminga played in the G League as a HS Senior! We hired Mosley for his communication and player development skills. So let him mold this 18 yo kid with all the gifts in the world!
-
If this front office believes Mobley can be a franchise changing player then they should do whatever it takes to try and get him. NBA superstars are like NFL franchise QB's, no price within reason is too high to acquire them.
-
First college basketball game of the season I watched him and he popped off the screen with his skill set. I would not suggest trading back from 8 but if we could add a pick he would be a great addition. He was more noticeable then Barnes. As an FSU fan I had to constantly ask myself what is his number? So I could follow who he was on the court. He very rarely stood out to me for long stretches watching Nole games!
-
If management feels they can get a franchise changing player by moving up then no price is too high. As long as they are smart and not reckless I would applaud them for the effort!
-
I agree it was not tanking it was a change of direction and rebuilding, exactly what we are doing now. That heart n hustle team was predicted to finish with the worst record in the league. Tanking might be one of the worst buzzwords ever introduced into sports.
-
So were we tanking after we finished 33-17 then traded Penny and other people and put together a pretty bad roster that just happened to play beyond expectations and became heart n' hustle?
-
Well if it wasn't for Tim Duncan's girlfriend and Doc Rivers not allowing "significant others" on team planes we would of pulled it off in 2000. But I somewhat agree one approach probably won't get it done. Will be a combination of drafts, trades, and free agency.

Not the biggest fan of your picks but that does not matter. I like Kuminga and Bouknight but that does not matter either. It is all speculation and I just hope Weltham who is 1000 times smarter then me makes the right picks:) I want Orlando to be electric again like it does when the Magic are real contenders.
-
Stop! I thought we were actually having an intelligent conversation. If you are comparing Bacon and Trier as prospects and shot creators to Kuminga and Bouknight then obviously all intelligence has been thrown far out of the window.
-
You are high level because you because you can drive, pull up, or get to the ft line. Not all players can say that.
-
Did you just compare Bouknight to Bacon? Wow!
-
Are you nuts? Both high level shot creators. Efficiency is the key and both can develop.
-
This is the first time that it is all there show.
-
Moody screams not bust but low floor. No way in the top 10. He is not athletic and has no shot creation. Honestly I would prefer Kispert over him. At least I know Kispert is an amazing shooter.
