Just a little perspective on Suggs and how lucky we are to get him at 5. If he came out after a year of college in last years draft he probably would have gone #1 overall. The year before he probably would have been rated along with Ja for who would be #2 behind Zion. We picked a good year to be bad. Lol

I know it's summer league so I do not want to get to carried away but I could not be more impressed with Suggs. It's not so much the numbers it is how he plays the game. He just knows how to play winning basketball. I don't know what the hell Cole was doing tonight.

I know Suggs can play off the ball but I like him more handling the ball and have Cole play off the ball.

Suggs is missing some easy ones which he will make down the road but his 3 pointer looks great. But the most impressive thing about him is he is just everywhere on the floor.

Did you compare Franz to Shane Battier? Not that us here in Orlando don't appreciate your input from across the pond.

These guys get it. And Suggs just has that "it" factor you cannot define in sports.

I am with you on that. I was calling to blow up buddy ball for a while. And yes we have seen worse contracts then that and it happened in 2016 with Biyombo. Lol! Hopefully this front office will not make mistakes like that.

Seeing his picture and hearing those numbers and what has transpired with this franchise from the trade deadline to now draft day I could not be any happier. Hard to believe this has all happened in 4 short months.

If I was a young guy about to make millions of dollars like Suggs I would be happy Toronto did not pick me because Raptors players are the highest taxed in the NBA. And of course the obvious difference in weather between the two cities. On a totally different thought, I wonder with Suggs being a high draft pick and one of the most recognizable players in college basketball that we might actually get a real national TV game this year.

Yeah we are going to lose a lot of games as young teams often do but that is okay. This is going to take some time but we are off to a promising start.

The only big regret from this draft night is wondering why we did not pair Bouknight with Suggs.

The old group was depressing. This group has potential.

The offseason is not over but next season Magic games are must see TV! We might not be that good yet as young teams struggle but we will be fun to watch:)

Nice. Went to ECF games that same year. I live in Orlando but have traveled all through England. London, Manchester, and New Castle. Great Country! Go Magic!

I am incredibly happy with tonight! We may have found our next franchise player with an unexpected gift. But overall we have an impressive and deep collection of young talent right now. We have future draft capital and cap flexibility. We have so many ways we can build this team into something that could be great. Can't wait till the Suggs gear comes out. Hmmm #1

Every site I saw was pushing Barnes stock. Trust me I am not complaining overall. We may have a franchise type player finally!!

Woj reported Wagner was #1 on our board at that point. I know you saw that.

Why? We could have been looking at a Barnes and Wagner draft with no other moves and again getting rid of a second rounder.

So basically WeltHam does nothing really great. They just got incredibly lucky that Suggs fell to them?
