Official 2014-2015 Shake-and-Bake Trade Thread
TheNameIsOrlando replied to ufballer1986's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
Harris is playing, Dipo is playing, Gordon is playing, Vuc is playing, Payton is playing. Is there anyone else that is even remotely irreplaceable? As long as those 5 guys are getting time that is all that matters. Everyone else on the team can be replaced. Heck some of those 5 may be replaceable as well if the right deal came along. Vaughn is pretty terrible but lets not act as if our young guns arent getting ample time on the floor to learn to play the game. -
Isn't that what usually happens in most sports? Teams get a new coach feel rejuvenated play well and boom reality hits an they are stuck exactly where they were months ago. Even if the interim coach comes in establishes a steady system blah blah blah what happens when we hire a new coach who runs a different system who starts different guys ect...again we are stuck in the exact same position we are now. Wait it out see how free agency and the draft shakes out and find a coach who fits the players we have.

I honestly like Elf and EP as nicknames. Those flow much better than those movie nicknames proposed. -

Troubling quote or just being honest? Magic's Tobias Harris vows to be professional if he doesn't start games -

Or how it seems like Dipo throws layups off the backboard or rolls off the rim so often. -

Im pretty sure Gasol is one of the best passing bigs in the league regardless of the offense being run. Not so sure that ability is in Vuch skill set. -
GAMETHREAD: ORLANDO @ LA Lakers
TheNameIsOrlando replied to Mauro Pedrosa's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
I've seen multiple plays where guys have absolutely refused to box out. That's effort. Do our rotations suck? Yes. Do our pieces fit? No. When it comes down to the rebounding this game our bugs have just stood around watching the ball bounce off the rim. Im not saying this team lacks effort in its entirety but rebounding tonight has been all about effort. -

Pretty simple effort...we lack it. -

1st qt observations: Tobias likes to shoot Our interior defense is really bad. We lack communication and cohesiveness. We turn the ball over A LOT. -

I'm still trying to figure out where all of this hope was coming from....I thought we were horrible are horrible and will be horrible (I dont have a problem with that being that those were my expectations to begin with). This will be our team until we develop or land that guy who can do whatever he wants on the court whenever he wants to. -
Fellow Magic Fans, Your expectations may have been a little too high. Merry Christmas Orlando

Where exactly should this team be in your opinion? Sounds like your expectations are pretty lofty. -

Our home/road record will even out once we start to play an easier schedule at home. Our 5 home loses have come against some pretty tough teams to win against. -

Are we better without Victor Oladipo?
TheNameIsOrlando replied to Catalina Maria's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
Considering we played 7 preseason games and Vic missed all of those games I'd say 9 games isn't very much to go off of. Heck 9 games in general isn't much to go off of. If he plays like this come late Dec./Jan. then that's a different story. -

Those two players are also seasoned vets who may not need the same amount of time to "warm up" as a second year player. NFL vets miss portions of training camp simply because they are versed enough unlike a relatively new player.
