Either would be a huge upgrade to what we have now.
-
Not to mention that it also needs to be tied to minutes and efficiency.

Is there any possibility Vonleh will even become a good rotation level player? Looking at his stats, I am very unimpressed, but he is still young and I haven't really seen him play. Also, we already have 3 pgs on the roster. Is it smart to add another right now?

Is there an interesting player there for us?
-
We are better when playing the pairing of Ibaka-Gordon than we are playing Ibaka-Green. Green shouldn't even be on the bench.
-
Doesn't look like there is a tread for this game yet, so post here. Go Magic!
-
Wow, and that is a pretty significant difference, and on a decent sample size. That is a much bigger difference than a week and a half ago or so when I looked up those stats. At that time the gap was only at about a 1% difference or so. He has put in some defensive work the past couple of games.
-
I'd like him to take more threes, even if it means a lower percentage. He seems to take smart threes, but I have seen him pass up a few shots where he is relatively open.
-
I have noticed he looks like he is doing the right things when defending 1 on 1, bodying up on the guy, staying straight, not really letting the guy past him. But I believe his issue with help defense is really what is hurting him defensively. He still can't challenge shots, and he doesn't seem have the instincts to know when to help or where to be on the court to help close lanes and such like the best defensive bigs do. He also doesn't have the athleticism to recover when making a mistake.
-
He needs to be played at the 4. I am fine with trying to expand his skill set at the 3, but he needs to play at the 4 too, as that is where his talent shines right now.
-
The experiment at the 3 is not looking so good right now, and for some reason Vogel is too stubborn to ever play him at the 4.

Five turn overs looks awful no matter how well you shoot. In fact, those five turn overs almost erased his offensive contribution on their own, ignoring everything else. And way too many turnovers from almost everyone else too. Payton was basically the only one who didn't turn over the ball like crazy.

We need to just get rid of the trash. If Jeff Green never plays in a magic jersey again, I will be more than happy. He had about two minutes at the beginning of the game where he was ok, then was trash the rest of the game.

Jeff Green :beatcomp:

Fun to watch them play D together.
-
If we continue with these ridiculous line-ups we are for sure.
-
Seriously, he throws up so much junk.
-
Very happy with what I see from the starters.
-
Believe so, didn't do any research though.

Yep, the dude can rebound and block like a fiend. Per 36, his numbers are 13 rebounds and 2.6 blocks per game. Those numbers could lead the league some seasons if they were his per game numbers.
-
Yep, and I really don't see what "veteran impact" Green provides, as he has been a negative on both offense and defense. Probably pretty obvious, but I don't have many positive feelings about Green right now. It is his butt that should be nailed to the bench.
-
Just saying our rating is brought down playing against those two teams. I think if most teams played those two in a row, their defensive stats would look better.
-
Two of those teams are Dallas and NO without Davis though.

Gordon is one of the few players we probably should have a little patience with, as he has definitely had some moments he has looked good, and most of the times he has struggled have looked like they are due to his changed position. Like it or not, even in today's NBA, PFs and SFs are expected to play differently and are different to defend against. I still have faith that he can figure it all out. The other young players have never really had those flashes. Payton has had flashes of ehh-ness, not brilliance. Fournier is a ghost when not making shots, etc.

I am just glad the team already decided that Mario is a failure. Especially since giving up early on our younger players has served us so well so far.
