Monty is one that I would consider replacing Mose for but I cave imagine the players would appreciate it. I am also bullish on how he will improve as a coach. Would be funny to add Nurse to the staff years after Weltman really wanted him

Trying to figure out if you are comparing Kerr to Phil Jackson or Mark Jackson

Anybody want Dillon Brooks
-
Yeah it probably is too harsh on Carter. And honestly I think you could make an argument he is a better player than Ayton today. Hopefully next year we get to see how he plays in this position

One thing I have really noticed during the playoffs is the play of centers. It really seems to be feast or famine at the position. I don’t know anyone would say Mitchell Robinson is a great player at this point but he looks bad out there, especially compared to Bam. Deandre Ayton is a max player but there are also times he just looks bad or worse, uninterested. Watching how good Horford still is it is crazy the 6ers couldn’t figure out how to make him work when they had him. The most interesting matchup is LA and GS where both players are elite in entirely different ways that it doesn’t seem to affect each other Edit: wanted to add, I’m a fan of Wendell but I fear he is on the Ayton side of the spectrum in a playoff scenario

Not sure what adding Kuminga does for this team
-
I dunno about own him, but it is interesting to think about. There aren’t really many elite post defenders in todays NBA like Dwight or Gasol
-
I wonder how Jokic would look going against 09 Dwight
-
Bold to think Trey young would show up in any big game, but I guess it worked out this time

Going to have to second the notion of throwing a contract at Cam Johnson and hoping the Mets won’t match. Basically a playoff vet at this point, and brings shooting we lack. You would probably have to start him so idk how the lineup would work, but I think there would be little downside

Kind of in a no win situation. There isn’t really anything they could realistically add to Lillard to compete for a title next year, so it is either mortgage the future for little return now or move Lillard and likely never get back something of his caliber. winning the lotto is really the only way their FO can win lol

Seems like it was just a numbers game. Lost their C for the post season so signed on of their two way guys to a contract to replace him
-
A propos of nothing, I think Mikal Bridges would be a sneaky good guy to target with our picks. Idk if he is in the Nets long term plans but he can shoot/score and would be a legitimate stopper on D
-
I think he works be happy with it given that we actually attempted to make the playoffs this season and were competitive after the terrible start

Nowell kid from KSU reminding me of Jameer. PS a great day when Kentucky loses

OTE has played all of two seasons

Long term you probably expect Scoot to replace Fultz, but I think he also slots neatly next to him. Definitely not the defensive force that Suggs is now and can be in the future. Hypothetical scenario: we get lucky in the lottery and pick 3rd. We call the Wizards and they are amenable to a package based on 3 and Suggs for Beal. Do you go for that or pick Miller/ the off chance at Scoot?

Would feel more comfortable if the Bulls finish at 8 or 9 -

Suggs starting for Harris -
MCW coming back is an unexpected move

I find this both incredibly tone deaf but simultaneously hilarious

I don’t imagine he would sign long term. I feel like he’s said he wants to play a season with his son before retiring. And outside of AD, he hasn’t really pushed for any of his “friends” in LA. Don’t think any of the guys they acquired at the trade deadline would qualify as washes up bums. in any case I don’t think Weltman would give in to sacrificing the long term like that. (Tho really I think the only thing that Lebron would need to push for is the exact thing that we all know we need - shooting and a 2)
-
Speaking of next year, ESPN put out their first 2024 mock draft and had the magic taking Bronny at 10. I don’t think we will be at 10, but I would absolutely pick him knowing that it would bring Lebron. I don’t know how he would fit but he would immediately put us in title contention

It’s weird to me that we are sitting at 5 in the draft currently. Feels like there are a lot of teams with better records that feel like worse teams

Coach killer strikes again
