2024 NBA Trade Deadline Thread
Jason Funderburker replied to CTMagicUK's topic in Orlando Magic Forum
Doug McDermott traded for one of those second round picks we always waste -
The weltman dream lineup

They really aren’t all that alike stylistically. I see Black in the mold of what Shaun Livingstone was on the warriors
-
I don’t think it is pampering to hold a player out on a back to back when they are returning from injury
-
Probably because of the back to back

https://syndication.bleacherreport.com/amp/10105779-fresh-2024-nba-trade-deadline-ideas.amp.html finally someone who isn’t a magic writer gets the same idea

I don’t think they do it. But Dejounte is basically the ideal trade candidate for the team as currently structured. Position of need, already signed long term, age fit, ability fit. Sort of a Goldilocks outside of him not really being a star compared to what we probably would need to give up. The personality fit is a question though and I do question if they would really want to make a big add in the middle of the season tho. But I hope they done we need another ball handler
-
Trade for dejounte if only to stop the buzzer beaters
-
I don’t really see Simons as a point, but with point Paolo maybe it doesn’t matter as much
-
Was out there looking like Larry Bird. I dunno what his draft projection of but I’d take him
-
Quite an alternate reality

Kuminga apparently wants out of GS because he doesn’t think Kerr will ever play him. I m not advocating trading for him but Warriors are so interesting to think about. They had the chance to really extend the window when they landed the second pick and just picked the wrong guy. Seems like they also missed on the Kuminga moody year. Wonder what the landscape of the nba is if they had taken Ball that year. Also seeing them now I understand why bob myers retired lol I don’t know what their pick situation is but I think they are a team to look at trying to snatch a future pick hoping they fall in the tank, but hard to know when that will be so long as they have Steph

First game I went in the new arena was up in the rafters and honestly there a great viewing angles everywhere
-
Honestly add Paolo to that group. Kind of tired of him tbh Or wait were you being serious?
-
Maybe I’m incorrect but it seems to me everyone involved in the front office back then puts the blame on themselves for not retaining Shaq
-
Is Davion Mitchell just bad or what? We do need a pg
-
He is our best player and despite the exit circumstances our most iconic player ever. Put the franchise on the map. I’m fine with it
-
Bit of bad board luck here at the end and it looks like we will probably lose. Amazing we have stuck around in these OTs with the lineup that is in
-
Gotta love the phantom touch giving us the ball back after the phantom offensive foul took it away
-
I think I feel the exact opposite about this trade lol. OG may not be a star but he is ascending and is better than anyone they could spend their money on in free agency, as well as the best player in the deal. Quickley is a nice player and idk what Barrett is but this doesn’t move the needle for Toronto in the short or long term for me

I wonder how much of the prototype weltman model we will be able to follow with later draft picks. At the front of the draft we’ve always had access to the athletes with the best measurements.
-
We’ve had a bad conditioning staff for a while imo
-
I feel like that trade makes both teams worse ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
