As strange as it sounds given my uncertainty of him at the beginning of the year, Tyler Ulis might actually be one of my favorite players in college ball. I'm not really under the impression he'll be leaving Kentucky this season and his height is still a major concern on both ends if/when he gets to the NBA but he's an unselfish, tough kid who can hound guys the length of the court and is shooting 44% from 3. He's everything you want in a backup PG.

And they move themselves. We don't move off the ball nearly as much. Guys make an initial cut and then stand around and wait for the guy with the ball to do something.

Our basic offense (from my eye test anyway) is very similar to that of the Spurs. Unfortunately, for whatever reason, either we haven't implemented (m)any of the wrinkles that make that offense great or else our young guys just can't make the reads that the offense demands. Or, our guys just don't have the right skills to make it work.

Good. Maybe not having those guys will be a suitable shake up to wake these guys up.

I was really hoping (and I actually think you were too if memory serves) that we'd go after Isaiah Thomas this summer. Still think he'd have been perfect. Oh well... Back to the reality of having a bad offensive PG Vs shoehorning a SG at PG Vs giving minutes to a journeyman PG with no long term future on the team.

After seeing that Trevor Booker made basket from last night I believe in miracles again... So I boldly predict the Magic win at least 1 of their next 5 games.

I'd expect more compensation than just Acy for taking on Calderon's contract but I'm not opposed to including Moe in any deal just because I feel sorry for him and I want him to get a fresh start somewhere else. Plus it's not like he has any real value when he can't get off the bench for a lottery team.

Finally got around to watching D'Angelo Russell. That guy can put the ball in the hoop. He doesn't always take advised shots and he's still shooting an unconscious 45% from 3 point land. I can't say I've ever sat and focused on his defense to be able to say much about it but offensively I think he'll land somewhere on the Nick Young, Jamal Crawford, James Harden scale. He could be a bench heat check guy, he could be a legitimate scoring 6th man or he could be a superstar scorer.
