In which direction? I think you could argue either way depending on how you value Kuzma haha. If you think we're overpaying then I'm pretty open on what we get back for Kuzma tbh in this hypothetical, I just don't think he's a fit here nor do I think he'd be happy here considering his previous comments.

Be interesting to see what happens with the rotation with AG and MCW back. Pretty harsh to drop anybody but Cliff ran a 9 man rotation in game 1. I'd guess MCW would take Iwundu's mins but then with AG you can't just drop Gary Clarke after the game he just had surely? Maybe you have a 10 man rotation and AG plays some of Clarke's mins and some of Birch's mins.

It's not really much asset wise for us since we don't actually want Kuzma and we get a draft pick back. Plus Ntilikina is an RFA for us after next season in this scenario which gives us more control. But I do see your point, if the Knicks don't want him after next season he might not cost us too much to bring in. I guess it would depend how much you like him whether you trade for him now or gamble that you can get him next off-season as an FA. EDIT: But yea I like Frank too. Big guard. Great defensive player. His efficiency numbers are trending in the right direction and he's still only 22.

Hear me out on this one, could we trade Fournier for Danny Green, Kyle Kuzma and pick 28. Then flip Kuzma to the Knicks with Khem Birch for Frank Ntilikina and pick 27 (or 38 if you think 27 is too much). We get Danny Green, Ntilikina and picks. I probably wouldn't keep the picks I'd either trade up or trade out but I don't think thats a bad return, two guys who fit, Ntilikina could kind of be the MCW replacement if we can't afford to keep him this summer. Green is a low usage shooter with playoff experience, an expiring and potential trade bait at the deadline. Lakers get some much needed wing scoring and shooting. Knicks I'm not going to lie they just seem like the kind of franchise who'd buy Kuzma as a potential star and I needed to find a team for him since we obviously can't bring him here after his comments. But they need any kind of talent, theyll probably draft a guard in the lotto making room for Ntilikina to leave. I like it. No idea if the other teams would do it or if we could find a better deal somewhere. EDIT: also important Danny Green has a 6'10 wingspan and Ntilikina has a 7'1 wingspan. If Weltman and Hammond read this message board they're probably on the phone to the Lakers now :')

Latest DX ESPN mock draft has us getting Cole Anthony at 15 and Skylar Mays at 45. In a vacuum if we came out of this draft with that I'd be pretty happy. Cole was bad at UNC but his situation was pretty bad and he had trouble with injuries. He still could give us a real lift as an off the dribble shooter and creator. Mays is a terrific person and I think he's a draft sleeper to be an impact player in the NBA. He's just solid all around. Not sure they're the guys I'd have picked looking at who gets taken after them in the same mock but I wouldn't grumble. If our FO drafted Cole I'd actually be more excited about him because it'd imply they think he's so good it's worth going away from the length and athleticism they usual covet.

That's what was great about this win. I think we all presumed that to win a game we'd have to have huge games from everybody but TRoss didn't hit a single 3 (though he got to the rim and had some huge rebounds) and Fournier didn't show up until the 4th quarter.

I agree that it's still more likely than not we lose the series but last year we won game 1 on a game winning shot from DJ Augustin. This year we pretty much lead the Bucks for most of the game and won comfortably. That at least bodes well for being more competitive in the next 4 than we were against the Raptors and maybe taking another game.

Genuinely hoping someone has already cut up the Vuc highlights so I can rewatch them.
