Dreaming: Trade up for green and also keeping our 8th pick. We give up our bulls future first and this years 2nd rounder. The, we pick up moody at 8th. Realistically: we get either suggs/barnes at 5th. Then we get either moody/bouknight with 8th. Nightmare: We do a dumb trade and we lose someone that becomes an allstar on a different team. cole/okeke/fultz/issac... etc...

My hope is we trade up to 3 for Mobley or Green. If not... 5 - Suggs if he drops (Barnes if not) 8 - Sengun, Moody or Wagner X (Mid to late first acquired by trading Ross or Bamba) - Duerte Editing Note - Giddey is getting my attention (shout out to CTMagicUK), but I'm not sold he'd flourish with our roster.

It is frustrating that so many of us want kids that can't shoot. The game is won by the team that puts the most points on the board, not by kids we hope we can teach to shoot. That is a failed experiment we have been trying to do for years. There are plenty of kids that can already shoot in this draft, lets grab 2-3 of them even if we have to reach for them!

Seen some suggestions recently he might fall into the second. If he's there at 33 I'd sprint to the podium.

Watch us take Moody at 5 and Giddey at 8, but then break CT’s heart by trading him to Memphis for Ziaire lol

I can see why we might have Ziaire high on our board. Similar logic to Cole. But why take him at 8 if other teams don't have him as high? Trade back and get more stuff.

Somehow a draft that I would be ecstatic about while also being a draft where the 5th pick is my least favourite pick.

It’ll be interesting to see what is good intel vs. groupthink as there seems to be a growing top 7 consensus. If they’re right, I’ll be sad to miss out on Bouknight at 8. But I’m actually coming around to Sengun at that spot. I would be surprised if we kept both Bamba and Carter after this season given their contract situations so I think there will be minutes available. He may also be one of the highest upside players left at 8 where the upside isn’t purely theoretical. Our FO definitely anchors on a lot of analytics in the draft so this pick fits the mold even though he’s not a wingspan player. A Barnes/Kuminga + Sengun draft would be pretty good in my book. A Suggs + Sengun draft where we pick up another first to get one of the interesting wings in the teens/early twenties would be even better.
