If we offered Dallas our unprotected first for DSJ right this second, the deal would be done. Generally a trade is bad for us if the opposing team would take it instantaneously without asking any questions. Ask yourself if you think Dennis Smith Jr. is worth the #1 pick. Once you've come to the reality that he isn't, you'll see that trading a pick that could become that, EVEN IF UNLIKELY, would be a hysterically misguided and disastrous thing to do.

I hope were not playing hardball with them. I think if you can keep BIG and bring DSJ in we will be set up pretty great for the future. I would trade this years pick unprotected if that's what it takes.

If I was our management I would tell them they have 24 hours to put a deal together or we will continue our search elsewhere. There are other PGs out there and not a lot of teams looking. On another note, not to be a starter for a while but I wonder what it would take to pry SGA away from the Clips?
