If we are able to consummate a deal for DSJ, I would think our focus this summer would turn to re-signing Ross as we really wouldn't need to be throwing money at a young PG. I don't know where Vuc fits into our plans moving forward as a team built around DSJ, Ross, Isaac, Gordon and Bamba would presumably want to play at increased pace, so I could still see something happening with Vuc before the deadline.

I think we're the favorites but I'd take "the field" over us

Probably. I think we are tied for the best odds to get him, but there are other possibilities out there too.

The ringer is obsessed with getting every team looking identical. Portland doesn't need to trade cj. They have something that works at a pretty high level. They regularly make the playoffs in the West. They're currently on a stretch where they've won a lot of games. They need small tweaks to make them better, not identity changing moves. Also I'm not sure CJ is the right guy to gamble on for us at that price. I think he's a bit overrated after his scoring went from 20 to 23 a few years ago and everyone expected it to keep going positively but it fell back down to 20. I think he's good playing off of Lillard but not considerably different than the Brooklyn point guards.

The odds of us being out of the playoff race before the last month are pretty slim. We have issues but so do the other teams near us. Charlotte ends their season on a ridiculously difficult schedule where they play mostly road games, play 15 of their final 20 games against non tanking Western conference teams or Eastern conference playoff teams. Detroit is as flawed as we are. Washington is hanging around thanks to Beal but how long is that going to last. We probably won't make the playoffs but teams won't pull away from us enough to make games meaningless.

Eh, i want to keep our players, trust me, but centers barely move the needle anymore. Just from the little i have seen this year i think Ayton,Jaren Jackson and Wendall Carter all look like better players right now. It remains to be seen if Bamba surpasses them later on. Jarrett Allen was drafted 22 in the 2017 draft. He already looks like he would have went ahead of all of this years centers, except Ayton. Don't get caught up in a draft pick because of where they were drafted. Either they are good or they are not. The biggest reason not to trade Bamba is this years center free agency sucks. If we lost Bamba and Vuch we would be hurting. If we had a good deal in place and Bamba had to go, well Sayonara. Your mileage may vary, i know people on this board love Beal. What if they wanted Bamba as part of that deal? Now you will say it's different because it's for a better player. I guess what i'm saying is if our gm see's a path for the Magic to be a better team, sending away a center who has only been here half a year is not the end of the world.

We don’t have a guy who can create his own shot on the entire team. Thus, our go-to plan seems to be to drive and kick to Vooch. The problem is this style of play is inferior to teams with go-to guys, especially when games get close. Perhaps one of these years we’ll realize we need a new system and different personnel.

And there is your post of the night right there. Drop the mic and walk away. That just said everything that needed to be said regarding AG. It is his time to shine now. He has earned that right.

Clifford has brought out the best in Aaron and in return Aaron is doing everything coach asks of him. I think he’s frustrated tonight because Clifford specifically said that he needed to get Gordon involved more in the post on offense and yet here we are again with Gordon averaging less than 3 shots a quarter. Nobody on the team shot more than 3 free throws after AG lived at the line and hit em all over last weekend.

That's bull. His finishing has improved this year in my opinion. He also has settled a ton less.

Briscoe with the passing and the intensity. He brings it every night. Him and Birch have lit a fire under this team and they have responded in a big way.

Yeah, technical difficulty. Hopefully they get it figured out. Scoreboard froze at like 10:20 left so they just took it off he broadcast
