I think we're in a position now where we should have 6 or 7 development pieces (Gordon, Isaac, iwundu, 2018 first, the 2018 seconds, and maybe Mario). The 2019 draft is projected to be a lot like the 2016 draft where it's top heavy with a steep drop in talent. It might make sense to reach into the top tier of the draft now and surround the developmental guys with vets with supporting talent vs going back to just assembling mismatched talent that has to fight each other to the top of the roster. I wouldn't go trading a bunch of future picks but the 2019 we can afford to lose.

I really hope not. If our medical staff are experts about back injuries and surgeries they will tell management to pass without even needing to check him out. Besides, other than being able to dominate high school children that he was bigger than, what has he really shown that makes him worth the 6th pick?

With the Clips being really high on him we can probably get #12 & #13 plus sweetener for him. By doubling our chance of getting a great player and maybe picking up a future pick I'd gladly do that. SGA and Robert Williams plus grab Carter, Okobo, or Brunson and a shooter in the 2nd would not be a bad draft.

I have zero faith in anything mainstream media does or says, how about you? If the Griz take Young then Bamba or Bagley will probably fall to us. I wonder how anybody can predict where Porter will fall without doing a medical on him 1st?
